Where teas are offered with milk (latte style), a dairy-free alternative will be used. Accompanying treats are freshly prepared for each tasting. Please contact me at least 48 hours before your experience if you need any substitutions.
Is there step-free access?
The facility is located up stairs above Slake Spirits brewery, without a lift. Apologies if this is unsuitable.

YES! Tea and teaware are available to purchase directly after your event. Due to the delicate nature of some items, my preference is to sell in-person.

  • 5/5 from Kylie Sanders, attended May 2026: I had such a lovely experience doing “From Dawn to Dusk” today. The tea tasting was beautifully curated from start to finish, with such a calming and welcoming atmosphere throughout. Every tea was thoughtfully introduced, and it was clear how much care and knowledge went into the selection and presentation. What made the experience especially memorable was the attention to detail and the passion behind it all. It felt both relaxing and immersive — a wonderful opportunity to slow down, learn something new, and really appreciate the craftsmanship behind Japanese tea culture. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys tea or is simply looking for a unique and peaceful experience.

  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended May 2026: Very capable, lovely and knowledgeable host, it felt like we were in good hands. She makes incredible Japanese-inspired treats which went well with the teas! Learned plenty about Japanese tea, the evening to morning teas idea was great. Was good for me as I've had barely any experience with Japanese tea and it was a good introduction to them.
  • 5/5 from Richard Freeman, attended May 2026: Brilliant fun and very interesting. With no prior knowledge of Japanese tea at all, it was eye-opening.
  • 5/5 from Berni Pardue, attended Apr 2026: A fantastic experience! A very relaxed atmosphere and Julie made us feel so welcomed and prepped to enjoy each of the curated teas. We spent a good amount of time learning about the culture and aim of drinking tea in Japan. Enabling us to truly appreciate each cup and delicious homemade snack to the fullest. You feel Julie’s appreciation of the craft of tea and helped pull us into her world. She went above and beyond to make the experience truly special, we can’t wait to use this knowledge in our upcoming coming trip to Japan! A fantastic day, and will definitely be back to buy some more snacks, and attend one of her other classes! Amazing day

  • 5/5 from Gemma Christie, attended Apr 2026: The Flavours from Dawn to Dusk event was an engaging experience from start to finish! I spent a wonderful morning there, largely thanks to Jackie, who was both charming and incredibly knowledgeable. I have already suggested it to a friend who I am certain would love it!
