  • 5/5 from Stuart Mason, attended Feb 2026: Had such a fantastic time candle making with my son today at The Fire Nest in Kempston️ Will and Phoebe were so welcoming, friendly and the studio is beautifully laid out. It was so much fun choosing all the different flowers to decorate the candles and mixing essential oils to see what fragrances worked together. Now I’ve got some candles that smells amazing and feels a bit more special knowing I made it myself. Definitely something different to do on a Sunday. Would highly recommend and will be back to do some other experiences.
  • 5/5 from Sarah Claypole, attended Oct 2025: Helpful demo and advice. Lots of fragrances to choose from and advice at every stage. Loved the class. Sadly I was the only person in what should have been a group class but other people did not turn up! I got lots of help but it felt a bit lonely
  • 5/5 from Sarah Foster, attended Sep 2025: Lovely evening
  • 5/5 from Mohammed Jawad, attended Jul 2025: Really enjoyed this class, lots of scents availble for mixing and spent most of the session decorating the inside of the glass in which the candle sits.
  • 4/5 from Lucy Hoey, attended Apr 2025: We had a lovely time and came away with some fabulous candles. The only thing that would have made it more enjoyable would have been some teas and coffees or some squash as we got thirsty throughout!
  • 4/5 from Conny Breeden, attended Jan 2025: This was my first candle making course and I found it very interesting. It’s more difficult than I thought. Venue was good and course teacher was approachable and knowledgeable. Just a little suggestion: maybe advise to bring either old clothes or an apron (which probably most people have) or ideally offer some paper aprons. It can get really messy with wax ending up on clothes.
  • 4/5 from Ian Hush, attended Jan 2025: Wife and I attended this and thoroughly enjoyed it. Knowledgeable and helpful instructor and pleasant surroundings. Unfortunately, on the downside, they were running a separate class in another room without a door next to ours. The instructor did not control the attendees and there was frequently a lot of noise from them. She also kept walking into our session to talk to our instructor, which I don't have a problem with, but space was limited and I had to keep pulling my chair e all finished the assignment without rushing, this is sold as a 2 hour session when in fact it finished with around 45 minutes left. I'd have no problem paying the same price but advertise it as 90 minutes, not 120. Having said all that, it was an unhurried and enjoyable session. The only real issue was the noise from the neighbouring session.
  • 5/5 from Diane Latimer, attended Nov 2024: The facilitators were friendly, engaging, patient, helpful and knowledgeable. There was a lot of variety and choice in scent and decoration. Being able to make the candles completely individually – from the decorating to the scent – made every single candle different which was great. We all learnt stuff that we didn’t know before about candles and candle care, and the whole thing overall felt relaxed. There were times things felt a bit rushed, and some felt that it would have been nice to have seen what a finished item might look like. We would wholeheartedly recommend Fire Nest and are keeping hold of their details for some of the other workshops that they run.
  • 5/5 from Debby Staines, attended Oct 2024: This class was excellent - lovely hosts for the group and we came away with lovely candles

  • 5/5 from Samantha Hughes, attended Oct 2024: Had a wonderful time with friends, we made two candles with fantastic scents. X x
  • 5/5 from Petra Parkinson, attended Sep 2024: I wasn’t quite sure what to expect today but we had a great time and loved the finished products. We were made to feel welcome and it was a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Everything was explained well and no question was to silly. Really enjoyed today and will be having a look for some other classes to try. Thanks so much
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Apr 2024: Two hour candle making class with Fire Nest. Went along with a friend and neither of us had experience of candle making. There were 5 in the class. Small room, but it still worked. Really enjoyed it. All equipment supplied. Great teacher. Came away with two candles- one small, one larger. Not as easy as it looks! Would recommend this class.
  • 5/5 from James Holderness, attended Mar 2024: Really fun session and we’re really looking forward to using the candles! There was a good choice of materials to make our own unique candles
  • 5/5 from Amy Fuller, attended Dec 2023: Just a lovely christmassy experience, it was well-taylored to us just being a group of 3 & we had a wonderful time
  • 5/5 from Rosie Molcher, attended Aug 2023: I booked Fire Nest's luxury candle making workshop for a hen do. We all really enjoyed it, Will and Phoebe were both lovely teachers. Thanks for a great afternoon!
  • 5/5 from Vivek Mathew, attended Jul 2023: Last weekend, my wife and I had the pleasure of attending a candle-making workshop by Will and Phoebe. They were super helpful, explaining every step of the process. Will and Phoebe set everything up, so we just had to do the fun bit - make candles! We crafted two beautiful scented candles now proudly displayed in our home. The whole experience was worth every penny. We had a fantastic time. It was not just a learning experience but a therapeutic one as well. There’s a certain charm in creating something with your own hands.
  • 5/5 from Vanilda Neto, attended Apr 2023: My friends and I couldn’t stop expressing how much they loved the experience. The teachers were great, very informative and just easy to chat with. The choices of scents and decorations for the candles were endless and amazing, all natural with soy wax, just an amazing experience. So worth the money for two quality candles ️️
