  • 5/5 from Katherine Gilley, attended Sep 2025: Lovely class. Very friendly and helpful will still giving you creative control.
  • 5/5 from Kate Butler-Groome, attended Aug 2025: This was my second time at the Love Makers Craft cafe. The location in Bath is really easy to get to, and a lovely place to spend a couple of hours. I did Lino cut printing this time which was great fun. The instructions were good and there’s someone on hand to give you help. The set up is lovely - you get to chat to your friends and as you share tables, you get to meet people too. Looking forward to my next workshop!
  • 5/5 from Lydia, attended Jul 2025: Had such a fun, relaxed LMCC session as part of my birthday celebrations. Anna was brilliant from the get-go, sourcing multiple venue options to fit around accessibility needs and our other plans for the day. The menu offered a great mix of activities and each came with thoughtfully curated, high-quality tools, materials and inspiration examples. Everyone felt encouraged to try something new with Anna on hand to advise throughout. We especially appreciated having extra materials for testing so we could experiment and get to grips with the tools before embarking on our final projects. Would absolutely recommend LMCC for a special occasion or just as a lovely, social way to try out a craft under expert guidance and without having to invest in all the equipment. Will be spreading the word to other crafty friends. Thanks again, Anna!
  • 5/5 from Lauren Scott, attended Jun 2025: I booked a crafty class for a fun birthday activity with the girls. It was lovely to be able to all try something different, and I enjoyed having a choice catering for different difficulty levels. The class was in a gorgeous setting, too! We all left feeling incredibly relaxed and wholesome. Thank you!
  • 5/5 from Kate Johnson, attended Jun 2025: This was a lovely cool venue on a very hot day, nothing was rushed, the teacher had time for all of us and there was a good menu of things to do, I chose some I had never done before, metal embossing and had everything I needed and came away with a presentable gift
  • 5/5 from Sarah Low, attended Jun 2025: I chose to do embroidery and, my teacher was really nice and helpful. I learnt some new embroidery stitches that haven’t done before. I enjoyed every minute of it
  • 5/5 from Shelley Kerr, attended Jun 2025: I loved my time at Love Makers Cafe. I made a block printed mini-tablecloth. My friend made a metal embossed ornament. We are really pleased with both and had a lovely time. Anna created a relaxed and welcoming environment for us to create. All materials were provided and she was on hand for support as we needed her. I’d recommend to others and happily go again.
  • 5/5 from Nina Smith, attended Jun 2025: Wonderful venue - great instructions and a gentle, but enthusiastic teacher. I learned Lino cutting and printing, which I feared might be difficult, but it was a creative, mindful and fun way to spend two hours. Best of all, there was nothing to clean up - only our lovely work to take home.
  • 4/5 from Hannah Toal, attended Jun 2025: We had a lovely time at the class and it was a really calm, friendly environment to have a go at learning a new skill. I chose embroidery and felt I learnt a lot and Anna was attentive and friendly. I would do this again and try one of the different crafts! My only recommendation would be to have an option to select what you were doing ahead of the class (with maybe some pictures of what to expect on the booking) so that you can get stuck in once you arrive. It was wonderful and will be back!
  • 5/5 from Julie McDonald, attended May 2025: Had a wonderful morning with my daughters at the Lovemakers craft cafe, Artpad, Bath. Lovely location, relaxed atmosphere but plenty of help and guidance when required. Anna our host was very welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I bought the session as a Christmas gift for my daughters. They loved tge choice of projects on offer and will be telling all their friends to try it out.
  • 5/5 from Hanne Larsson, attended May 2025: What a lovely afternoon spent creating something and chatting to new people and old friends! We'll be back for more
  • 5/5 from Karen Coles, attended May 2025: Such a great afternoon. We both enjoyed learning something new with an excellent tutor! Thank you for making us feel welcome and for your patience. We both came away relaxed and feeling ready to continue our new found skills.
  • 5/5 from Gillian Vickery, attended May 2025: I had a lovely and creative morning with Anna at the Art Pad, an inspiring setting in a gorgeous Georgian house. Anna had prepared individual kits for a variety of crafts, with lots of books/art for inspirational ideas. There were nine of us, she started us off individually and then offered guidance and suggestions as required. It all seemed to work easily and happily, everyone producing something of which they could be proud. Obviously a lot of work went into preparing the sessions and Anna's pleasant interaction ensured an agreeable and productive Craft Cafe morning.
  • 5/5 from Sally Plummer, attended Apr 2025: A wonderful way to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Anna was friendly and welcoming and explained the selection of craft activities available this afternoon (full details are on the menu provided!). We chose to try metal embossing. Crafters are provided with a pack including easy to follow instructions and resources needed. Anna offered support and encouragement throughout the session. I would certainly recommend Love Makers Craft Cafe and look forward to trying another craft in the future. The location was easy to find and there is plenty of parking nearby. It is central to Frome where there is a choice of unique shops and eateries.
  • 5/5 from Becky Good, attended Apr 2025: Lovely afternoon spent learning Lino printing. We really enjoyed it & we will definitely be coming along again.
  • 5/5 from Penelope Jenner, attended Apr 2025: Such a welcoming class! We learnt so much!
  • 5/5 from Eleanor Saunders-Brant, attended Mar 2025: We loved this alternative take on an arts / crafts session. So nice to have a choice of what to do - means you can decide on day and follow your instincts, plus there is something for everyone! I went with my husband and he did metal embossing while I did Lino printing. Anna was really welcoming, had great equipment all carefully prepared in advance and she had a great balance between offering tips and advice v giving you space to crack on. We’d love to do it again. Thank you!
  • 5/5 from Rachel Heron, attended Mar 2025: This was such a treat of a workshop. We were given clear instructions and guidance throughout and by the end of the two hours I had created a snowdrop lino and two prints.
  • 5/5 from Tessa Wessely, attended Mar 2025: Great atmosphere Lots of variety Eager to help without taking over So much fun

I have loved making things for as long as I can remember, from figuring out saws and soldering irons at my dad's knee (he was an engineer); then as a fine art and ceramics scholar, before uni life aboard my first houseboat cemented my passion for practical creativity and working with my hands.
The Love Makers Cafe was born from this love of making and community in 2024 and has been an immediate hit, with some new sessions selling out in 24hours. An antidote to the perfectionism and overwhelm of modern life, it’s a space where creative play and experimentation, easy conversation (or companionable quiet) and working with our hands is encouraged.
We offer a creative menu of 6-8 different crafts for those who like the idea of trying their hand at something new – without the hassle of buying lots of kit or clearing up afterwards.
Craft activities are self-led and open-ended, meaning you can let your creativity run free, looking to our inspiration library if you need a spark to light the way.
Put simply, we believe in:
* IRL face-to-face friendship and community
* using our hands to make things
* and all the feel-good stuff that those things bring.
Whether you're a dab hand already or haven't picked up a brush since school, if you’re making for a special occasion or just for fun, everyone is welcome.
