2 hours Class size 2 to 6 guests       £40 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

Join a slow, small-group seagrass weaving workshop in Brighton, held in a cosy, serene private zen studio in Hove. This beginner-friendly session offers a quiet, considered introduction to traditional weaving using natural materials.
The studio is a calm, welcoming space designed for focus and ease. Seagrass weaving is grounding and tactile, and the steady rhythm of the process encourages you to slow down, settle, and work with your hands in an unhurried way.
You’ll be guided step by step with personal attention throughout. The small group setting allows time, space, and gentle support, making this workshop suitable for complete beginners as well as those looking for a more intimate, relaxed craft experience.
It’s a peaceful way to learn a new skill, spend time together, and create something useful and lasting for your home or as a thoughtful handmade gift.
Ideal for birthdays, hen parties, and relaxed creative gatherings.
You’ll leave with a finished basket and the confidence to continue weaving in your own time.

I’m Claire, a yoga instructor, sound healing and massage practitioner, artist and musician, and the founder of Flying Bear House in Brighton & Hove. After a fast-paced career in corporate and finance, I stepped away to slow down and reconnect with practices that supported my wellbeing. I explored many different approaches before finding my way back to the traditions I grew up with - Chinese tea ceremony, sound and traditional arts - the practices that felt most grounding, familiar and meaningful.
My sessions blend cultural ritual with gentle sensory awareness, offering a calm and accessible way to experience tea, sound and traditional craft. Everything is guided at a steady pace, inviting presence, connection and ease through simple, shared experience.
