Silk Painting for Beginners Workshop– Solo or Duo Creation

Create your own A4 silk artwork, either by yourself or together with a child, friend or loved one.

2.5 hours Class size 1 to 4 guests

  £45 - £65 (£45 for Single Artist (1 Person); £65 for Creative Duo (1 Adult & 1 Child)) (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

This beginner-friendly silk painting workshop is designed for both solo creators and creative duos.
You will create one framed A4 silk artwork using two key silk painting steps: drawing the gutta outline and adding colour onto silk.
The gutta outline stage needs a little more hand control and focus. It allows you to transfer a design from paper onto silk and create clear lines before the colour is added. The colouring stage is more playful and expressive, as silk dyes flow beautifully across the surface of the fabric.
This makes the workshop especially meaningful for parent-child pairs. One person can work on the outlining, while the other enjoys filling the shapes with colour. The final artwork becomes more than a picture — it becomes a record of shared time, teamwork and creative cooperation.
It is also a useful next step for adults who have already tried Coffee Break Silk Painting and would like to learn how to move from prepared designs towards their own ideas. If you have enjoyed colouring silk before and now want to understand how a design is transferred onto silk with gutta lines, this session will give you the foundation to continue developing your own silk painting work.
No previous drawing experience is required. Prepared templates are available, and you will be guided step by step in a calm, supportive studio environment.
At the end of the session, you will take home one framed A4 silk artwork.
