We did the course at Basildon. The lady who taught us was really lovely but by her own admission, only learned how to crotchet about 6 months ago, and she is still learning. Plus, the store had given us size 4mm hooks and yarn that needed size 9mm hooks! We are new to crotchet so didn’t realise this, and the first 20 minutes was very frustrating for us. We muddled through though and managed to get up to double crotchet stitch. The trainer (Helene?)showed us links to Hobbycraft videos which will help us to practice and improve our skills.

I really enjoyed the workshop. It was just my friend and me, and Amy, the tutor. Amy is a lovely girl and she gave us some great ideas re decorating the boxes. My friend and I both found the workshop very relaxing. We didn’t have enough time to finish our boxes but are looking forward to doing them at home.
