Join a Hobbycraft Colleague in store for a One-to-one and ask any questions you have about crochet. Stuck on a project? Need help with understanding a pattern? Trying to get to grips with a new stitch? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for crocheters looking for that next step on from our Beginners' Workshops, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need. It’s a great way to gain confidence with your craft, troubleshoot any problems you’re having with your current project in an easy, direct way or learn about stitches you’re not as confident with yet.

During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Artisan know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.

You’re sure to walk away a crochet pro, ready to take your designs to a new level!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

Thanks so much Stephanie for making her sessions so much fun.

  • 5/5 from Violet Harris, attended Aug 2024: Wow! My very shy and nervous 9 year old had a one to one session with Stephanie as she suddenly decided she’d like to learn to crochet. From the moment Stephanie said hello she put my daughter at ease and made her feel so comfortable. She was so patient and kind and such a great teacher. In less than an hour my daughter was crocheting and literally spent the whole day continuing what she started in the session. Whilst in the session my daughter whispered to me ‘mummy can we book another session please’ which of course is now booked. Thank you so much Stephanie for a wonder hour for Violet. See you at the next session xx
  • 5/5 from Mel Devitt, attended Jul 2024: I've been wanting to learn to crochet for a while but hadn't got the hang of it. For a treat (& some accountability!) I decided to have a 1-2-1 lesson. So glad I did, it was so useful & I feel like I have got the knack of a magic ring & increasing & decreasing stitches enough to attempt my first project

Well done ladies
