Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Holleigh Bryan, attended Feb 2026: I had the 1:1 workshop with Nicola. The workshop was excellent and really catered to your needs or questions. Every question I had Nicola had an answer for and it was clear that Nicola really knew her stuff. I loved that they had cricut projects out on the bench for inspiration and so that you can use those projects to ask questions. I loved that there was no set agenda so that the workshop could really be truly catered to what you wanted to learn.

  • 4/5 from Irene Iles, attended Jul 2022: Nicola was amazing. Very enthusiastic and took me through making a card. Disappointed that I had to watch, I expected to actually use the machine. It would be nice if as Hobbycraft endorse the Cricut they did classes so that I can improve and get ideas.
  • 5/5 from Mrs Roberts, attended Jun 2022: I attended a 1 to 1 Cricut Joy session with Nicola in the Swansea store today, it was very accessible as I'm in a wheelchair so thats important, there was a great atmosphere and Nicola was very friendly, informative and made sure that I got the most out of the session. I brought my own materials so we were able to make a vinyl banner that I wanted and talked me through it all aswell as showing me. I was very impressed with her knowledge and capabilities so I knew I was in great hands. I would definitely recommend these workshops and I will be back! Thank you Nicola xx
  • 5/5 from Shelly Arnold, attended Jun 2022: I can’t remember the ladies name but she was fantastic! She had so much knowledge She answered all my questions She demonstrated what I was looking for and showed all possible ways to do it Absolutely fantastic and very professional
  • 5/5 from Kelly Elt, attended Apr 2022: So helpful but more patient with my silly questions. I came in with what I would like to know and this give a really good base for what to be shown, knowledge is outstanding and the ideas kept coming. Hobbycraft swansea are always my go to because of the outstanding service I will be back for another lesson
  • 3/5 from Julie Rees, attended Apr 2022: Hannah was very pleasant and helpful. However when I booked the Hobbycraft cricut workshop I was expecting to have been sat at a table and not standing in the middle of the store for an hour. I thought I would have been able to have had a go myself at the end of the tutorial, maybe have walked away with a small project I'd done. Didn't feel it was value for money at £15.00 if I'm honest. I think hobbycraft should consider rethinking a more comfortable environment to do their cricut workshop and definitely offer the customer the chance of trying a small project themselves. This feedback is no reflection on Hannah who talked me through the workshop. Obviously this is the way Hobbycraft as a company has decided to do things.

  • 4/5 from Judith Thomson, attended Feb 2022: The teacher was great but I wanted to learn how to change jpeg to svg but she was unable to show me that. I did learn how to clean up image that was good. Didn't have anywhere to sit.
  • 5/5 from Lindsay Davies, attended Sep 2021: Had a great one to one session with Hannah. She demonstrated the functionality of the Cricut and has helped me to decide which model is best for me- now to start shopping Thank you Hannah
  • 5/5 from Amy Dunne, attended Aug 2021: Really informative and helpful. Material provided although I brought my own too. Great advice given and offer for follow up sessions if needed.
  • 5/5 from Diane Lewis, attended Aug 2021: Hi there yes i realy enjoyed the workshop, and thought that Hannah was very helpful and realy new what she was talking about. The way she explained things was very helpful and i thought that i would find it a lot easier when i tryed it myself, however by the time i got home and tryed out some of the things that looked very straightforward, my mind went blank and i struggled.lol.I will not give up and will try and try again I do think that i will need further help in the future as it looks easier than it is.Maybe i am to old to learn as the internet side of it i do find very daunting. I do think that i would like weekly classes if they were available somwhere. Thankyou.
