Help your young artist mark the end of primary school with something they'll actually want to wear – a handprinted leavers hoodie, made by them, at this screen printing workshop from Hope Press.
This class is designed for Year Six kids who want to do something creative and memorable before heading off to high school. They'll work up their own design, cut stencils for both the front and back using scalpels, pick up the basics of screen printing, and press bold white ink onto their very own hoodie to take home. Names go on the front; the back is entirely theirs – whether that's their graduation year, something they love, or whatever else they can dream up.
The hoodies themselves are organic cotton and come in a range of colours, so there's plenty of room to make it personal. It's a hands-on, low-pressure session that works brilliantly as a group activity for friendship groups who want to mark this milestone together – a one-of-a-kind keepsake from a chapter of their lives they won't forget.
Please note: Hope Press will need seven days' notice to order the right size and colour hoodie ahead of the class. Once you book, they'll be in touch to confirm the details.
What you'll get
A beautiful organic hoodie in the colour of their choice.

Believe it or not, print-making saved my life!
A few years ago, my life looked pretty normal: I was a Dad, a garden designer, and a keen walker. Suddenly everything changed. One day I simply couldn’t get off the sitting-room floor. I’d had a nasty bug and the next thing I knew: I was diagnosed with ME/CFS.
For a long time, things were pretty tough, but as the weeks passed, I began to discover painting and printmaking. And as the weeks turned to months I was making more and more art, and steadily feeling better.
Print-making was a refuge: a place to get better from. As I recovered my health I realised I wanted to share the magic of making things with other people; and the dream of Hope Press was born!
Everyone could do with more space in their life, more time for creativity, more peace and flow. I now run a variety of classes and workshops in printmaking – including a course for people with illnesses like mine – I hope you'll find something for you.
