Creative kids will love crafting a unique Halloween decoration that is certain to set a spooky scene! This mache pumpkin project is a great way to get the Halloween fun started and it’ll teach them all about making with mache.
The tutorial is designed for kids aged three years and over. They’ll have an expert Hobbycraft colleague showing them every step of the way, with a fantastic variety of craft materials provided in store to help them transform one spooky pumpkin – from googly eyes to tissue paper! There are so many ways to make something unique.
Whether kids have never made with mache before or they just love getting stuck in with this versatile craft, the workshop will be a fun way to embrace Halloween excitement.
All participants will walk away with pumpkins to put on display. Please note, you may need to allow for drying time.
Workshop suitable for ages 3+ years. All kids’ craft workshops require adult supervision. One ticket is required per child.
Our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas, and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

The only problem was trying to find the workshop area as the store was extremely busy with only 2 members of staff so we had to queue to ask where it was. We then spent a lot of time walking around with two four years olds looking for the space. We then noticed there were signs on the floor but it wasn’t that clear when it was busy.

Nothing was too much trouble and she put up with two rather rowdy 4 year olds! The only thing I would suggest is making the signposting to the workshop clearer as we had no idea where to go when we entered the store and had to queue up for 5 minutes at the till to ask.
