Creative kids will love crafting a unique Halloween decoration that is certain to set a spooky scene! This mache pumpkin project is a great way to get the Halloween fun started and it’ll teach them all about making with mache.
The tutorial is designed for kids aged three years and over. They’ll have an expert Hobbycraft colleague showing them every step of the way, with a fantastic variety of craft materials provided in store to help them transform one spooky pumpkin – from googly eyes to tissue paper! There are so many ways to make something unique.
Whether kids have never made with mache before or they just love getting stuck in with this versatile craft, the workshop will be a fun way to embrace Halloween excitement.
All participants will walk away with pumpkins to put on display. Please note, you may need to allow for drying time.
Workshop suitable for ages 3+ years. All kids’ craft workshops require adult supervision. One ticket is required per child.
Our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas, and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Wide variety of things used to decorate the pumpkins. Will book child workshop again. Have noticed the prices have increased. To decrease price, or avoid further price increases I would be happy for the host not to stay. Or do book on 3 add one free.

The lady explained clearly what we were going to do, ie papier-mâché a pumpkin, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. My grandchildren are 3 and 5 so we did need to help them but the lady was very encouraging and supplied everything we needed. I would thoroughly recommend this session.

Probably best for 7+ My children needed my help and while the woman running the workshop was very nice, she was working on her own pumpkin rather than helping which would have been better. I’d also suggest pre cutting some bits of paper rather than having to tear it all while you’re fingers are sticky and covered in glue
