Throughout the year, Hobbycraft host a variety of workshops in stores and online, designed to give everyone the opportunity to master a new craft or refine a long-time favourite. Whether you want to enjoy crafting from the comfort of your own home or you’re looking to meet new people as you get making, these craft workshops offer something for everyone.
Most of our workshops are led by colleagues from Hobbycraft stores across the UK, including craft experts from our Hobbycraft Artisan programme. They use their expertise in specific areas of craft to create workshops that show participants new skills and inspire future projects.

We really loved the clay monster workshop! They could use their imaginations and be creative, regardless of their age or artistic ability.
Imogen was brilliant with them, she explained everything well and helped them when they needed it.
The materials provided were good quality and there was plenty to choose from.
I would definitely recommend this workshop, thank you!

They really enjoyed making the stamps out of card, it was good to lean a new technique to use at home.
The teacher was helpful and friendly.
My youngest enjoyed mixing some of the paints to make new colours for his canvas.

My kids love crafting so we always get excited when there's a new hobbycraft class.
The materials supplied were excellent, they loved the fluffy chick's and bunnies. They had lots of fun designing the bonnet and sticking on the flowers and ladybirds.
The teacher was really good at explaining everything to them, and helping out when they needed it.
The time slot of 1 hour was also good, they had both finished and didn't have to rush.

An enjoyable session, Chloe was very patient and considerate and explained the stitches really well and was able to correct me when I went wrong.
I liked that the balls of wool, needle and instructions were included with a cute bag, it was a nice touch and the wool colours were nice.

My daughter had great fun, was really pleased with the items she crafted and there was a great supply of craft materials for her to use. Would have perhaps been useful to also have some crafting tools available and maybe some method of sticking the parts together. Given the cost of the materials alone, this workshop was good value for money

My children loved working on their pumpkin today. With lots of inspiration and advice from Frankie at Hobbycraft, we came away with two great pumpkins.
We will certainly be looking for more workshops at hobbycraft.

The activity fun factor and value for money was 10/10. My 7yr old loved it!
The teacher was lovely and very friendly / patient with the children but the class wasn’t ready for the time slot arrival time and was about 10mins behind as the wrong activity was left out in a box. I thought it would have all been ready and set up on the table as it was a pre booked event.
It would have been nice to see other materials available for the children to use with the glue like glitter or googly eyes etc
Overall I would attend another kids workshop as it was fun and good value for money.

Son enjoyed himself, he’s only 3 so he did lose interest after about 30 mins but other than that it was very enjoyable and will do again.

We really enjoyed the wind chime session. There was lots of colourful beads, feathers and pipe cleaners to choose from.
The teacher was very good and the venue had lots of space.
I would have given it a 'great' rating but I think the age range might be better suited to 5 years and upwards rather than 3, my 3 year old found it too difficult and lost interest after choosing his beads and I ended up doing most of the construction.

Another fantastic hands on class! The children loved creating their own Easter chick and bunny. The session was very relaxed with all children working at their own pace and not being rushed to move on to the next part.

I have never used a sewing machine before and Claire showed me all I needed to know to get started on my new hobby, was very pleased with the one-to-one, I was able to practice and ask lots of questions.

This Easter Bonnet making workshop was brilliant! The teacher was welcoming and had a lot of resources for the children. It was great value for money, as the children chose a beautiful hat then decorated it with so much choice of decorations, and learnt how to use a glue gun. The venue was easy to get to, and free parking. Can’t wait to attend another workshop.

Really fun course to do at Easter, learnt how to work the clay in to shapes. Teacher was really friendly and helpful. Only down side being in the middle of the store you do get people interrupting asking for help, would of been nice to be given extra clay to take home to practice and a few paints to finish decorating

Amy was very chatty and approachable throughout our session with lots of suggestions. There was plenty space for us all to work easily and the pack had everything we needed although I did buy some extra flowers and ribbon to add later.
The 1 hour session wasn’t long enough to complete the project, we were only just getting into the swing of it when we had to finish. It would have been useful if Amy had been making a wreath too or we had had examples of some finished wreaths to give us some ideas for our own wreaths.
Overall we really enjoyed the session and the lessons learned will be useful for making other wreaths at Christmas. I’d recommend this workshop to anyone interested in making their own wreaths.

This was a fun workshop which allowed my 5 year old and friend to be creative and go home with a lovely easter decoration. All the materials were supplied and the workshop teacher was friendly and very creative. I will definitely try some more workshops.

Awesome hour and stress free. We are now ready for the Easter Bonnet parade for the last day of term. My son could get creative and I got to experience it with him which is priceless.

Teacher, Karina, was great! Very friendly and helpful. My daughter (aged 11) and her friends had a great time.
Materials were generally ok but the masking tape wasn’t sticky enough to prevent paint getting underneath. Initials were quite blurry.

What a fantastic time my 5 year old grandson had, the teacher ,Frankie, was very enthusiastic, full of encouragement especially as I had signed up for a Xmas eve box and he decided to make a treasure box. The materials he had was ample and Frankie made sure he had enough or had a specific colour he needed. Excellent value for money as he could take home anything he didn't use. He loved it an so did I. Highly recommend

Was good fun.
Person running called in sick but Amy who took over made the best of it, was lovely and very much enjoyed.

The workshop was great. I enjoyed it very much. Amy our instructor was lovely. So personable and extremely patient as well. I did the Beginners guide to brush lettering. We started with the practice stokes and then we went onto doing the alphabet. We were given a box with all we needed to take part in the workshop, including pens, paper, notebook and little tags. It was a very friendly atmosphere. We were within the Croydon branch upstairs. I enjoyed listening to the other ladies stories and reasons for doing the workshop. Loved it. Well done Amy & Hobbycraft

A fantastic workshop today which allowed the children to create their own bespoke pumpkins. Lots of colours were provided and the member of staff running was fantastic. She went round and supported all the children in the group.

This class was so much fun! My children had a great time making their clay sea creatures and more. The class teacher Frankie was brilliant, she helped the children with their creations and explained all about the clay and different techniques with how to mould etc. we will definitely be booking more workshops after this.

I recently found a paint pouring book and wanted to give it a go. Unfortunately I was the only one doing the workshop, but with a friendly and helpful teacher that worked out OK. We tried two different methods and I got lots of helpful tips.
I was presented with a great kit to use during the workshop and to take away afterwards. Hobbycraft are selling the kit now for £3 more than I paid for the workshop, so I'd say that's excellent value for money!

There was only two of us. Really enjoyed the session.
Amy our teacher was lovely and showed us how to do different techniques . I learnt a lot in an hour and of course you get to keep your paints , brushes and paper.

A very enjoyable hour spent with Aimee. I was lucky enough to be the only attendee, so enjoyed a 1-1 session. She was very patient as it is very many years since I picked up a paint brush and she helped me gain some confidence in a short space of time. I love the art supplies that came with the lesson and I am now inspired to practice my painting a lot more in the future.

So I had an amazing teacher Louise who showed me so much not only about the mug press but on how to get the perfect.
The workspace was great I was able to seat or stand and the shop had so much stock I was overwhelmed with all I could choose from.
Louise was so patient and kind with me and answered all my questions, she made me feel so welcome and at ease no question was to small or to hard.
I will recommend these workshop to all my friends.
And I would be booking again with the Croydon staff.

Fantastic value for money! The hats were great quality as was the resources to stick on. I like that this year there was no pva glue that takes an age to dry. The craft dots were an excellent idea! The member of staff was willing to help any child that needed support.

The teacher was very friendly as was there for guidance if needed, I went with some friends so it was lots of fun. The kit came with everything we needed, even a glue gun! But I did feel that 1 hour wasn't long enough for me to finish, I will definitely do another workshop!

Based upstairs in store. The materials for the watercolour class were excellent. Really impressed with the watercolour set, I haven't tried pans before. Talked through the stages step by step to create a floral scene. I learned some new things and was able to copy some brush techniques under instruction.

I booked this workshop for my daughter and we both thought it was excellent.
The welcome box had all the materials needed, which were high quality and great value for money.
The session was on the second floor in the middle of the store. It was a relatively quiet time in store, but some customers did approach to find out more info about the workshop. The table was large enough to give everyone space to work comfortably.
The teacher (AJ) was very good - she demonstrated techniques (splatter was a lot of fun!) and offered suggestions to make the children’s art better. She explained how to draw a landscape scene with perspective. AJ also encouraged the children to make their own decisions with colour and composition, so the pieces were really their own rather than a copy of her own.
My daughter enjoyed the workshop very much and is very proud of her painting.
