Whether you want to enjoy crafting from the comfort of your own home or you’re looking to meet new people as you get making, these craft workshops offer something for everyone.

Most of our workshops are led by colleagues from Hobbycraft stores across the UK, including craft experts from our Hobbycraft Artisan programme. They use their expertise in specific areas of craft to create workshops that show participants new skills and inspire future projects.

Enjoyable session, Lauren is very knowledgeable and clear in her delivery of the workshop and her passion for Cricut comes across in her presentation
I was a bit disappointed that we had to stand for the whole of the hour and there wasn’t an opportunity to have a hands on try. I know the products are expensive but I did think there would have been the opportunity to make something to bring away

We wanted to find out how to get the best from our cricut joy. Lauren (who was the demonstrator) was really good she showed us how to use the software, showed us how to make some of the crafts and explained the most suitable materials for the machine. We felt the session was good value as it showed us how to use the machine and Lauren provided us with lots of ideas.

For mother's day gift, booked mum on Crochet granny square workshop, the teacher Sophie was brilliant. Sophie is lovely, patient and very knowledgeable. As was abie to answer all our questions for the craft. We had already completed the beginners guide to crochet with Sophie and it was a pleasure to see her again. Lovely colours of wool provided. We came away learning new stitches and feeling confident with the craft.

I brought my mum to this class to build up her confidence in social settings, socialise and improve her brain health with learning a new skill. The teacher was very friendly and supportive. The venue was good but only one extension lead so had to share glue guns. We made a spring wreath which came with everything and turned out beautiful even though we had never done it before. We learned how to use a glue gun and place the elements on the wreath. The glass was good value for money but I felt a little rushed and would have preferred 1.5 hours as it’s a new skill. I liked the advice, the end product and that it was a good place to take my mum.

The class was ok. Definitely overpriced and we were finished within half an hour with nothing to do for the remainder of the class. The lady who took the class was lovely, it wasn’t her fault, but it definitely wasn’t an hour’s worth of entertainment for the kids.

This was our first time at a Hobbycraft session. Very friendly lady ran it and she was great at making sure the kids were happy with what they had created as they all turned out a bit different to each others. Very relaxed and Christmassy atmosphere. Would do it again.

My mum and I enjoyed making the wreaths. There could’ve been more decorations to add - we only had ivy, berries and cones. Wreaths were small and we noticed they cost around £6 in the shop so felt a little underwhelmed after paying £30 each.

I had booked this course for my Mum and I to attend. It was at at 3.00pm which was really convenient for us. We found the craft area very quickly and Sophie, who led the course. gave us a very friendly welcome. She was well prepped with the baubles we could decorate, dipping solutions (which had to to be prepared at least two hours in advance) colours we could add to our dipping solution, paint brushes and lots of paper towel to mop up spillages.
Mum and I had so much fun and the hour allocated just flew by.

We all loved it. Think it's brought us back to crafting. First time we've been quiet for an hour because we were concentrating. The teacher was great. Guiding us, but encouraged us to do our own thing. They all turned out different with our own twist, which was great. We all said we would do another one.

The lady who took our class was lovely but it was very difficult to feel you had made progress with varied levels of proficiency in the class. Bag of things to take away was really good.
The class finished at about 2.07 although the E mail said 2.30.

The member of staff who ran the course was super helpful and very friendly - unfortunately, there were not enough letter beads for all of the children to make their names which was a little disappointing. My daughters still enjoyed the session though and they are excellent value for money.

Anna was really nice and patient with my 6 year old who loved the class. We used clay to make different shaped pots. She was very instructive on how to do it. We were upstairs in the Aintree venue, which was nice and quiet. It was only £8 for an hour. My daughter really enjoyed it and is very eager to come back to do some Easter workshops

I would definitely recommend one of these classes im shy and was nervous about doing the class but the lady running the class Sharon was brilliant she made me feel really relaxed and I really did enjoy the class. The atmosphere was amazing and we talked as she showed me what to do. I learnt how to make fillable baubles and l was made up with myself at the end for what I had made and the what Sharon showed me to do was great. I would definitely do another class and she told me they do them for kids to which is perfect as I have two children who like doing things like this. Thank you so much for providing classes like this. As there was only me who booked on for the class I got Sharon all to myself which for me was even better as I said I'm shy and was nervous and I think most of that was because I thought there was going to be a few other people there.

Excellent workshop. We had a private group for my daughters birthday. Claire the host was excellent and really patient with the children. Only criticism would be some of the beads were not suitable to thread on pipe cleaners so that was frustrating for the kids. Would probably be beneficial to have one made up so the group could actually see what it its they are making as it’s easier then for the younger ones to follow the instructions.

The session was not long enough. It took the two hours to just paint (3 coats) the advent calendar, the decorations which we needed the most help with, we did not have time for. The lady who ran the class was lovely and very friendly, she did quickly run through how to decorate the boxes at the end of the class. I am yet to complete it at home.

The grand kiddies had a fab time, everything that was needed was supplied and more, the kiddies class was sea creatures made with air drying clay, the assistant (Sharon) was very friendly talking to the kiddies, encouraging them and showing them what to do, helping them and offering ideas The class lasted 1 hr but there was no rushing to finish in fact the kiddies got to take home some clay and extra bits and bobs to finish off what they had started which I thought was a lovely touch, thank you for your time well be back again, I would highly recommend Hobby craft for its classes and of course the staff.

We attended the decorate your own paper mache animal workshop. In aintree Liverpool. I wasn't sure where to go as it's was out first time attending a workshop, when we asked at the till the lady running the session was finishing serving then led us upstairs she talked to the boys the whole way. The boys 5yrs and 4yrs had a great time they chattered with the lady that ran the session. There was lots of colours to choose from, they had dinosaurs and rabbits out for the kids to choose from but the lady running the session (sorry I'm really bad with names unlike the lady running the session who remembered the boys names. she did tell us her name though) gave the option of alternatives if required. Both boys want to go back again. They've already asked me about Halloween and Christmas. Would definitely recommend these sessions.

My teacher Lauren was fantastic from start to finish. I arrived with a list of cricut joy questions and Lauren went through each of my questions and was very knowledgeable in answering them and getting me to understand them. We then went downstairs to put some of my questions into practice and I definitely came away from the experience knowing more and with a friend who offered to help me anytime I am in the shop. Tom was a great teacher, very experienced with the Cricut machines and able to answer all my questions and recommend materials and tools. The space provided was more than adequate although other customers did ask for assistance during the session. I didn’t mind this, however, a sign should maybe be displayed to stay that a session is in progress.

Enjoyable hour with Tom.
Some great tips and item demonstrated was stunning. Classes are excellent value for money and there was little "up-selling", which I had expected.

Only negative point, and the reason I've dropped 1 star, is that class was held standing up at a high craft table. Not great if you have mobility issues.

I booked for the workshop with my sister to try and get us in the mood for some Xmas crafting and we were not disappointed- it was brilliant. Our class was led by Sharon who is so friendly and clearly very passionate about what she does. The kits are absolutely lovely and it was nice even opening the box. We had a great time and would definitely book again. Sharon gave us lots of recommendations so we came away with lots of other crafty bits- good for business and for us. Thank you so much for a lovely morning.

Sharon was very welcoming and engaged with the attendees the whole time. The workshop was very well organised. Sharon's demonstration was easy to follow and she provided plenty of suggestions for Christmas star decorations. The materials were beautifully presented. I learnt how to use air drying clay effectively and I will be making more items. The worksop was really enjoyable and I would recommend it as an introduction to new hobbies or a unique present for family and friends.

My daughter and I had a great time making Christmas baubles at the workshop today. The class was led by Sue a great teacher who made us all feel relaxed and welcome. We had a fun hour making baubles with the goods and decorations provided. All the people were friendly and helpful. I am looking forward to adding the Christmas decorations made at the workshop to the tree this year.

The lady who did the painting was very good, had us both organised ready to paint a flying saucer. She explained about mixing colours to my 4 year old. Didn’t feel rushed, there was only us at the table. Great value for money at £2.00

Great class, teacher was excellent, me and my daughter had a lovely relaxing time making our wreaths. Loved that we get a glue gun to keep in the kit (handy for my next project) and the items supplied were great quality. We made a 40cm wreath, can't wait to put it up on my front door. Never thought I could make something of this quality! Delighted. Well worth £35 x

I did an autumn wreath at Hobby craft in Aintree. Sharon the teacher was excellent, she was welcoming and friendly which put me at ease. I hadn’t done anything like this before and found the class enjoyable. Everything was provided but I did find that I was a little disappointed that there was not more embellishments for the wreath. However I would recommend the class.

My daughter and I really enjoyed this class.
Our teacher (Sharon) was so friendly and knowledgeable.
The materials provided were great quality and the kit contained all of the items needed for the task.
The class took place at the craft table in a quieter area of the store, which was ideal. The length was just right - about an hour.
My daughter (aged 4) produced an amazing snowglobe which looks just like the picture on the box!

I had my one to one with Tom who was lovely. Only thing was that I spent most of the time waiting for him to find basic things that were needed e.g. cotton and a button (that we didn't even use!). If it wasn't for the fact I was waiting around so much the one to one session would have probably only lasted 15 minutes max. Apart from refreshing my memory of setting up a machine and how to use the button hole feature it wasn't really worth the £10 for the session. I will probably just use YouTube in future if I want to know anything else.

I went to the Christmas advent House workshop on 25/09/21. It was run by Susan, and since I was the only participant I had her full undivided attention! The venue was perfect as it was in my local store so easy to get to. The materials provided were very good; the wooden a vent house has a nice surface which takes paint easily. The paint was easy to ay and gave a good finish, helped by the good quality brushes which were also provided. Also provided were the numbers for the doors, a large tub of PVA glue and a tub of glitter. Altogether it was very good value for money. I stared painting my house but obviously didn't finish it in the time alloted, but that is OK as I can finish it in my own time at home, but it was nice to start it with some supervision. Susan is a very friendly person, it felt like we already knew each other rather than just meeting which added to the enjoyment, especially if you like to have a good natter whilst crafting! It might be worth considering offering a disposable plastic apron, especially if you're a sloppy painter like I apparently am! I think I've got the paint splashes of my shirt now! Over all I think the workshops are good value for money and very enjoyable. I would definately do more and recommend them to others.

Tom was excellent very professional, as it was on the upper floor of the shop customers interrupted a few times as there where no other staff around could done with being tucked away. Tom just showed me how to use the cricut machine and the different materials to use which he provided very informative and invaluable. I learned so much I would not have known were to start with my machine let alone know how to import an image from google, how to write different fonts from the app or do a scollop edge on a card. Excellent value for money.

My daughters loved this class, the more advanced watercolour techniques may have been a little beyond their abilities (they are 7) but they listened intently and tried to replicate the teacher’s use of blending colours. The teacher was great, friendly and informative. The products supplied to carry out this class were excellent too - absolutely everything needed for the lesson was included plus an extra canvas and sketch pad to take away.

Learnt how to thread my new machine and how to do basic sew stitch. Used a sample that was provided to practice in straight lines. Tracy was absolutely lovely and made me feel at ease so thank you. Would definitely do another.
