The history: Enzo Ferrari once hailed the E-Type as the most beautiful car ever created, and its allure remains undiminished since its debut in 1961. Drawing inspiration from Jaguar's Le Mans-winning D-Type, the E-Type combined its racing heritage with highly competitive pricing and a claimed top speed of 150mph, swiftly becoming a 1960s icon. The earliest models, known as Series One, featured in this kit, were manufactured from 1961 to 1967, equipped with either a 3.8L or 4.2L engine. More than 22, 000 E-Types were sold. Jaguar offered the E-Type in various forms, including a 2+2 coupé, the limited edition 'Lightweight E-Type', and the low drag coupé, among other versions.
