  • 5/5 from Vilas Patel, attended Feb 2026: We booked this beginners crochet class at Hobby Craft in Bolton, it was easy to book online. We got this as a gift for our 11 year old daughter. We had a great time and learnt the basic stitches and received 2 balls of wool and a crochet hook to get started. The teacher was lovely and provided one to one support as needed. Would definitely recommend to any beginners wanting to learn how to crochet.
  • 5/5 from Catherine Simpson, attended Feb 2026: Shannon was excellent - very patient and encouraging. She explained things really well. I have had no luck with beginners crochet class provided by other organisations - but I feel that I have now understood what to do. I feel sure that I am at the start of a very interesting hobby. Thank you Shannon!
  • 5/5 from Anne Brignall, attended Jan 2026: Shannon was lovely. Soooo patient with us! I was an absolute beginner having only picked up a crochet hook the day before to try to follow a YouTube video, which didn't go well. By the end of the session we had all completed a piece of double and triple crochet. I really enjoyed myself and felt supported throughout. Got to practise now before I move on to granny squares.
  • 5/5 from Jenni McGarraghy, attended Jan 2026: An excellent small trip out for myself and 11 year old daughter. She loves all things crafts so this was something we could both learn together and it did not disappoint. The instructions were clear, the support sufficient and materials provided perfectly adequate. Nice that we go home with our yarn balls and crochet hook to continue practicing. In my daughter's words "that was really good!" Thanks.
  • 5/5 from Richard Chapman, attended Dec 2025: Interesting and informative. Just need to practice, practice, practice....
  • 5/5 from Imogen Mae Porter, attended Dec 2025: Very enjoyable course. Shannon was very helpful and calm. She was very encouraging and happy to help correct any mistakes.
  • 5/5 from Lisa McIntosh, attended Dec 2025: We each got a bag with two balls of yarn, a hook and some handouts. The teacher was really knowledgeable. She was very patient with us throughout. She explained and demonstrated each stitch really well. She gave good feedback to troubleshoot issues and supported one to one when people needed extra help. The handouts really helped too. The only thing that might improve the course would be stapling the handout for each stitch, as I'd mixed them up in my bag and it was hard to sort them out at home on my own. I would really recommend this course if you're a complete beginner.
  • 5/5 from Lorraine Gregory, attended Nov 2025: The teacher, Shannon was amazing. She gave clear instructions, shared great techniques and she was so patient. The class was really enjoyable.
  • 5/5 from Maryam Salman, attended Nov 2025: Teacher was competent and very patient. Venue was great. Material was given, colour could have been better. Teacher tried her best but this is too much to learn for beginner. Student should be encouraged to watch some videos before hand to get an idea of what to expect and some online learning material
