  • 5/5 from Sarah Cassidy, attended Jul 2025: A 90 minute crochet for beginners class. Aimed at the perfect level so we could master a new skill and achieve success. Eileen was patient, warm and professional. I will definitely keep my eye out for different classes in the future!
  • 5/5 from Trisha Bowler, attended Jul 2025: This was my first attempt at crochet and Eileen was fantastic, she was very patient with us and as a result I enjoyed the class immensely
  • 5/5 from Miss Edel Lavery, attended Jul 2025: Eileen was a lovely patient teacher. I was getting frustrated at the start when I didn't understand the stitch but she was great. Thanks again
  • 5/5 from Caoimhe Adams, attended Apr 2025: I was the only one to book into the group class which I initially found a bit intimidating but Aileen was fabulous and extremely patient and I'm so grateful to have had the one to one tuition. Aileen has taken 3 children's workshops I have brought my daughter and other children to in the past and is such an asset to the Belfast store. I was shocked at how much I learned in 90mins after having tried to learn from books and YouTube in the past with little success. There really is no substitute for in person tuition, Aileen gave me some helpful tips when she saw me struggling that I have taken away with me. I didn't manage to finish my two squares in the session but I have been confidently practising at home and am amazed at how quickly I can see the little granny squares come together.
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Jan 2025: Beginners crochet. Had never tried before but think this class has given me enough knowledge to give it a go. Once I’ve practiced a bit would consider going to another class.
  • 5/5 from Alexandra Edgar, attended Jan 2025: I wanted to learn to crochet, so I enrolled in the beginners class. The teacher was Eileen, when I arrived, the yarn, crochet hook and instructions plus a bag to put it into. The venue was in the middle of the shop, which was fine, I didn't feel as if I was in a goldfish bowl. Eileen was great, she put me at ease straight away with her relaxed manner. There were only two of us, one left and right handed, but Eileen was able to switch from left to right with ease. Eileen made the process so simple, I came away with two squares and feel confident to be able to do this at home. Would recommend the beginners course to anyone wanting to learn how to crochet.
  • 5/5 from Elaine, attended Jul 2024: Eileen was very patient and a great instructor for myself and my daughter. Very enjoyable thank you
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Jul 2024: Excellent class, thoroughly enjoyed it. Eileen was a very patient teacher and had time to go round each of us in our class of 4 to explain stitches etc in detail. Good value for money as cotton tote bag, crochet hook and 2 balls wool included in price.
  • 4/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Jul 2024: Beginner crochet course with Eileen. Covered basic stitches and has given me more confidence to go on to follow other YouTube tutorials etc. Chunky wool was provided which made it hard to see the stitches and the resulting pattern - would have been better with a finer wool and smaller hook. Tutor also spent more time with other participants so they got instruction for more stitches - everyone should have received same instruction.
  • 5/5 from Geraldine Matthews, attended May 2024: I thoroughly enjoyed the class. The teacher gave clear instructions and provided lots of support. She focused on two types of crochet stitch. The venue was very suitable and I liked the materials provided, especially the little carrier bag! The class was good value for money.
  • 4/5 from Clare O'Neill, attended May 2024: Eileen was very patient with me which I appreciated. It was a good introduction to crochet but I think it could be longer so I could get a bit more 1-2-1 support. Nice materials and good venue.
  • 5/5 from Samantha Martin, attended Apr 2024: The beginners crochet workshop was excellent. I was a complete beginner who had never attempted to crochet before. The teacher was very patient and ensured that all the attendees were confident at each step before moving on and she was very helpful. I think the work shops are great value for money with the teaching time and a bag of goodies (two gorgeous balls of yarn and a crochet hook) to take home to keep practicing. I feel confident now in the basic stitches and I am excited to continue crocheting!
