What you'll do
Do you love the relaxing scent of a good soy candle? Join us at Lowick Village Hall, nestled in the countryside of Northamptonshire for our relaxed candle making workshop. In this creative and chilled-out class, you'll learn how to melt, mix and pour wax to create DIY candles from scratch!
Everything is set up and ready for when you arrive, all you have to bring is your lovely self! We provide unlimited tea and coffee throughout the workshop and a light lunch. If you book for one of our evening classes, we include a glass of prosecco too. All of the food supplied for our workshops hosted at Lowick Village Hall is provided by the local restaurant "The Snooty Fox".
Your friendly teacher Kylie will guide you step-by-step throughout your journey and provide all the equipment and tools, so don't worry if it's your first attempt at candle making. You'll feel all of your worries melt away as you sit back and focus on getting creative with your group.
Whether you deserve some self-care or are looking to treat a special someone with a relaxing experience gift, this workshop will leave you feeling calm and collected, with a beautiful candle to take home. Our candle making classes are the ideal way to light up your day.
Detailed class itinerary:
- The workshop will start once we all get settled with a nice cuppa.
- Aprons on! And we then begin with a little introduction about KB and the art of candle making.
- Scents are then chosen and we get down to the making. You will make a luxury KB candle and a heart wax melt. There is also an option to play around with colouring your wax.
- There is an interval where your creations have time to cure and your bellies have time to be fed. There is a wonderful restaurant just across from the Village Hall that will be providing delicious lunches.
- Once lunch is finished, we can de-mould your wax melts, snip your wicks and box up your creations. We will then wrap up the class with a good old game of candle bingo!
Additional information: A donation will be given to Germain Educational Foundation charity for Lowick Village Hall.
Please note: Public dates for this class require at least 4 guests to run. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we'll cancel the class; in this case we'll inform you and allow you to get a refund or reschedule, so please watch your email/SMS one day prior to the class.
