I LOVED the class. So educational but also lovely and fun chatting with Sally and the other guest. Would highly recommend this. My bouquet is wonderful.
Me and my girlfriend had a great time making our kokedamas. Sally the instructor was really nice and friendly the entire time, giving clear instructions and being helpful. Great to see pepper too! Would highly recommend and we definitely check out her other classes.
I organised a Kokedama workshop as part of my friend's hen and it was so lovely - would highly recommend the class! It was in a pub which meant we could get drinks before which was ideal and it was in a really nice room. Sally was amazing - super communicative beforehand, a great teacher, and even sent us some photos after that she'd taken of us during the workshop. I'd highly recommend it if you're organising a hen for a green-fingered bride, or if you are just keen to learn about kokedama. We all went home with two plants, which Sally labelled for us which made transporting them very easy. I'm very proud of mine! Thanks Sally :)
We had a great kokedama workshop! It was really practical and hands on and great to talk to the host about plants and the history of kokedama. It was easy to get to and we would recommend!
Great class! Highly recommend, Sally was amazing and attentive, she showed us a wonderful time!We each did two Kokedama and brought them home with us, very therapeutic.
We had a lovely time at this matcha workshop. It was easy to find and in a lovely quiet shop after closing time. We had a class instructor who was very kind and informative. We got to try two types of matcha and another type of tea too, and we were also able to try some small sweet treats which was a nice surprise. It was a relaxed experience, would recommend for others looking for something nice to do in the area.
Sally was such a lovely instructor, the whole workshop felt really relaxed and welcoming. We learned how to make kokedama and each made two plants to take home, which I loved. As someone who enjoys being around plants, I found it really calming and almost meditative. Also, bonus points if you love dogs, her super sweet dog made the experience even better
Such a lovely, intimate hen do experience ️Sally’s ikebana workshop was beautiful – she brought along seasonal flowers handpicked on the day and was very attentive! She also shared her knowledge on the history and principles of ikebana and made sure everyone felt looked after Mariko’s matcha session was just as delightful – engaging, and we got to whisk our own matcha while tasting two different varieties. She also treated us to homemade matcha cake and a delicious yuzu sweet from Japan So if you’re looking for something cute, relaxing, and a bit different, we'd definitely recommend! Just remember to bring your own container to take your flower arrangement home – or Sally can wrap it up for you like a bouquet
My friends and I loved attending this wreath making class, it was such a fun and creative activity and a lovely atmosphere in the run up to Christmas! Our teacher Sally was very knowledgeable, friendly and made sure we created the best wreaths to best reflect our personalities. Highly recommend doing this wholesome workshop to add some extra festive cheer and flair!
This wreath making class was the best I had taken. Carefully prepared and chosen elements were ready to assemble and Sally encourages a creative and stylish result. I’m delighted with the wreath, pride of place on the front door. Thank you, Sally.
Really nice workshop. We each had plenty of materials to make our wreath with, from various types of pine tree branches to colourful leaves, pine cones, dried oranges, ribbons and bells…. Plenty to choose from and let your creativity flow. We were a small group and Sally the instructor was great at explaining how to build our wreaths, and providing lots of tips and encouragement. It was a great way to spend aFriday evening - very relaxed yet productive. Loved it!
It was really enjoyable making Christmas wreaths with Sally. Extremely experienced. Group was small so you have plenty of time with Sally to learn and ask questions. Very generous foliage - guaranteed to leave the class feeling like you have achieved something!
My 7 year old son and I enjoyed a wonderful Origami workshop with Sally. She was so patient and kind, and the session has inspired him to get more creative with his Origami and take it to the next level! Highly recommended.
We've been to a number of Sally's workshops and they have all been great. This was no exception. We arrived at an intimate setting in Islington where we had a short talk on Origami. Then we got stuck in. A crane first and then a multi-part ball/dodecahedron that was amazing. We all had a blast and would completely recommend this to anyone.
We learnt to make 2 origami sculptures: a crane and a kusudama. It was both relaxing to learn how to fold paper and intellectually stimulating to work out how to assemble the various parts of the, making it a great way to end the work week/start the weekend. Sally always provides the history behind what she teaches and makes it fun and enjoyable, and her furry assistant Pepper is very sweet. The venue is a lovely boutique full of beautiful homewares and gift ideas. We left with our creations and more origami paper as well as instructions on how to make further kusudamas.
I’d been having a stressful week at work and coming to this class I thought I just wasn’t going to be able to relax but as soon as my hands were folding and concentrating on remembering the steps I just felt all the tension in my body disappear. The class was so informative and such a good reminder that we all need to find time to slow down! I enjoyed it so much I came home and did more with the extra origami paper we were given! Loved it!
Loved this class! It was so interesting learning a bit about the history of matcha, and ikebana - two things I didn’t really know much about before. It was a great way to spend a Saturday evening, 5/5 ️
It was lovely to learn the history and to have the perspective of Ikebana in the larger picture of flower arranging. Sara was personable, interactive and very hands on. She was happy to answer any questions throughout the course. I'm looking forward to doing more arrangements now!
I’ve just finished the loveliest, most relaxing time at the Kokedama workshop by Hana Flowers. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute — from creating my own kokedama and learning about its fascinating history, to the warm and thoughtful conversations throughout. It was a beautiful blend of creativity, calm, and connection with nature. The whole experience felt both grounding and uplifting. I highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking for a mindful and inspiring way to spend their time!
Really great workshop! Made 2 kokedama to take home in a fun, informative and relaxing setting. The space the workshop took place in is a really interesting boutique with lots of gorgeous items for sale. Sally, the organiser of the workshop makes sure to spend time with everyone explaining techniques and giving tips on how to care for the plants, and what the history of kokedama is. I’ve been to her other workshops (dried flower wreaths, bouquets, ikebana) and I always leave with a great experience and beautiful plants.
The kokedama class is a blast. You get your hands dirty and make beautiful little balls of moss with a plant inside. Sally is a great teacher and the venue is welcoming. Totally recommended.
We booked the workshop for my mum’s birthday and we all loved it! Sally is amazing and so talented. The whole process was super satisfying — and the results were so pretty. Highly recommend!
The kokedama workshop with Sally was relaxed, informal and informative and provided all the materials needed. Loved the location, and loved learning something new!
Absolutely enjoyed the workshop, a lot of fun in a very relaxed casual way, but one does get fully recharged just by being around like minded people and making two very cute kokedama plants home.Sally the teacher was great, clear instructions and very helpful. Would look forward to another workshop with her in the future.
I arrived at this workshop straight from work, completely exhausted, but the whole process of making the moss ball, along with the gorgeous earthy scent of moss and ivy, totally revived me. The class was friendly, clearly guided, and just the right mix of relaxing and fun. A lovely way to unwind and create something beautiful.
I had the privilege of having a one to one session with Sally. The historical background of how Ikebana came about was helpful and I really appreciated all the helpful tips to understand the key principles and rules that I have taken away with me. There were lots of opportunities to practice, we made two different types of arrangements and Sally had a gorgeous selection of spring flowers to use. It was a bonus to be able to take some flowers away to practice. The welcome tea was also a lovely touch. It was a enjoyable evening and I learnt a new skill for life! Thanks Sally.
Sally was truly fabulous as a person and I thoroughly enjoyed her company. She taught me a lot whilst also having a joke at the same time. Would definitely recommend.
I've been to a few of Sally's sessions now and they've all been great. The atmosphere is relaxed and the other people at the session always super friendly. For the wreath making session we had a massive variety (and quantity) of materials to work with. Sally gave clear guidance and help on how to make my project its best. The finished wreath was gorgeous and, no joke, it was stolen off our door a few days after it went up. Completely recommend Sally and her workshops!
Attended this workshop with a friend and we were not disappointed! The class was fun and Sally gave clear instructions and provided an abundance of decorations for the wreaths. The final products looked so professional. We will most certainly be looking for similar workshops with ClassBento in particular with Sally. Thank you very much from Sian & Michelle
