Wonderful class! Annie the teacher was extremely knowledgeable and fantastic at explaining how things work in a way that (finally!) made sense. Now I can understand how to work out what has gone wrong and fixing a lot of plumbing issues around the house. I feel so much more confident about knowing when to do things myself vs calling out a professional and being able to understand how a professional has fixed things too and asking the right questions without it all completely going over my head. Lovely environment, completely relaxed and loads covered in just one day. Strong recommend!

Brendan was fantastic. Very supportive and encouraging. He was very knowledgeable and gave helpful pointers for fixing my mistakes.

During the workshop we did 2 types of joinery. We learnt to use various tools including a chisel and Japanese saw.

A great workshop with amazing people. Important lessons on safety and building confidence when handling heavy tools—especially if you’ve never had the chance to use equipment like that before. helped me learn how to use the power tools I already have better for home diy, and gave. me the opportunity to handle a new one. also helped me learn about materials and the physics involved when using them with fixings and power tools - overall really insightful, in a well-equipped and lovely workshop space, with a friendly and knowledgeable teacher (thanks Brandon!)

Great way to build confidence, try things out and get feedback on correct ways to use the powers tools - all in a friendly, supportive and interactive atmosphere. This has shown me once again that I never learn better than in person with a real great teacher (thanks Brendan) and real people to learn with and from. It was more fun than expected too.

The day was fun and informative from start to finish. Brendan explained everything and followed that up with a demo. Then it’s over to me and I was able to produce a piece of work I was truly proud of. That was due in no small part to the excellent instruction I received. I’d highly recommend this course.

I've had the laser cutting induction with Alex. I loved the facilities and equipments. The class was very informative and very well demonstrated and explained. I'll definitely return for more workshops and make amazing works using the laser cut machine.

Brendan was very patient, explained things well and was very knowleadgeble. I really enjoyed this class. There were notepads and reading material available which was great. There were about 5 of us, which seemed an ideal number of people for this class.

The room was extremely hot, due to the heatwave but we coped well with the 2 fans available.

My only suggestion would be for more tools to be covered on the day and to have more practice time. People usually have a lot of stories to tell and a lot of questions related to what they are looking to do, which is not always what other people are interested in, so I felt way too much time was spent talking. Sometimes the class just needs to keep going.

I will be looking into joining another course to keep learning. I had a lot of fun in this class.

The course was very comprehensive and well explained. The environment was cooled, so I didn't feel the impact of the hot weather. I came well informed and had a chance to practice with the lasser printer and the software

It was a class to make a joint. I enjoyed the class a lot! I had zero experience and was a bit nervous that I wouldn't catch up, but the instructor broke down the steps clearly and explained the logic well. He also made sure to look after everyone's work - thank you!

Intermediate Joinery: Dovetail Joints (2-Day Weekend Course)

I am an IT PM and wanted to learn wood working skills as hobbies. This class was prefect for the beginner because it covered the basic principals. The teacher was very patient and helpful. His explanation was easy to understand and always willing to help. It was a mixed group of people (young/old and male/female) with everyone having similar goal. The tester has got my interest buzzing and keen to practice skill. I would like to pursue more classes in the future.

I did a weekend of learning how to do dove tail joints and it was well taught with great patience. Im a beginner and learnt an incredible ammount about woodworking tools and the nature of how wood behaves.

Yes I would whole heartedly recommend this course. Give it a go.

Amazing experience. During this workshop you get to learn more about how to cut, shape, sand and finish wood, use cool machinery and tools, and ultimately create a great quality, solid wood serving board. We got to choose between 4 woods, all of them nice.

Our teacher, Brandon, was super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in guiding us through the process.

Amazing beginner course, perfect to learn the basic fundamentals of joinery. It was the perfect amount of laid back and intense, and was so informative. Great for someone who has no knowledge of frame joints and wants to know where to start. I personally had a blast!

Enjoyed this plumbing 101 course. Annie was very good at explaining domestic heating and plumbing systems and components, then demonstrating techniques to undertake remedial tasks which we practiced in the afternoon. Definitely worth attending.

The class was really informative and helpful in steering me for my first project. We learnt about different materials and techniques, and got the opportunity to calibrate the machine and settings on the software to see how these impact the laser on the project. It was a really good morning with a great instructor and lovely group of people.

I have some power tools already, but learnt some things about how to use them that I never knew before, like the hammer function on a drill (and it’s not exactly the same as hammering lol).

I wish the class was a little longer to be able to try more things and ask a few more questions.
