Amazing experience. During this workshop you get to learn more about how to cut, shape, sand and finish wood, use cool machinery and tools, and ultimately create a great quality, solid wood serving board. We got to choose between 4 woods, all of them nice.
Our teacher, Brandon, was super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in guiding us through the process.

Annie was a great teacher who explained things thoroughly. Enjoyed the mix of theory and practical - it would be good to do a two-day course or a follow-up session to help it all sink in a bit more.

Great course! Using a chisel for the first time can be a very humbling experience but it was a lot of fun. Would definitely come back for another joinery course. Thank you Brandon!

Amazing beginner course, perfect to learn the basic fundamentals of joinery. It was the perfect amount of laid back and intense, and was so informative. Great for someone who has no knowledge of frame joints and wants to know where to start. I personally had a blast!

It was wonderful to see the workshop other than online. Alex was a great host explaining to me about the woodworking courses, the type of things you will be making on the course, about hiring a bench. The atmosphere was nice calm environment. He gave me some good advice on my new business venture... Thank you Alex!

Enjoyed this plumbing 101 course. Annie was very good at explaining domestic heating and plumbing systems and components, then demonstrating techniques to undertake remedial tasks which we practiced in the afternoon. Definitely worth attending.

The class was really informative and helpful in steering me for my first project. We learnt about different materials and techniques, and got the opportunity to calibrate the machine and settings on the software to see how these impact the laser on the project. Alex was patient and knowledgeable and created a welcoming environment.

It was a really good morning with a great instructor and lovely group of people.
I have some power tools already, but learnt some things about how to use them that I never knew before, like the hammer function on a drill (and it’s not exactly the same as hammering lol).
I wish the class was a little longer to be able to try more things and ask a few more questions.
Thanks Brendan

Really informative workshop delivered by Sean, who was both knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I entered knowing next to nothing about 3D printing, and left a few hours later with a good idea of the possibilities a d confident that I could get started on my 3D printing journey straight away. As predicted, I'd ordered my first 3D printer and supplies before bedtime.

Richard's Introduction to Spray Painting course is perfect to get you started with a spray gun. The course is very well thought out and covers all the basics you need get you going. As well as a good mix between theory and practice, Richard also tailors the course to match the requirements of the various people on the course. I would highly recommend the course for anyone wanting to learn this skill.

Jonathan Colhoun May 2026

After numerous attempts at spraying with varied success I thought it was about time to attend a class to learn the skills form a professional.
Learnt the anatomy of the spray gun and how the settings of air pressure, paint volume and fan width will produce a good end result.
The class was very relaxed and Richard instilled confidence in me due to his easy going nature and obvious years of practical on hands experience.
What I liked most was the fact that I left the class feeling good ongoing results are now achievable.
Thks POW and Richard

It rekindled my interest in woodworking and the instructor was very resourceful and helpful. Patiently going through the process with everyone in the class and also encouraging us and applauding where necessary.

I wanted to experience a hands-on woodworking workshop in your centre.
I love creating things with wood.
The teacher was very professional, knowledgeable and patient.
The workshop shape was just the right size, clean and neatly kept.
The relaxed atmosphere to learn a skill with like-minded individuals.

Monica Kumah Apr 2026

This is a great introduction to power tools. I found it invaluable to have some hands on experience especially the tools I never used before. The advice on what to look for when buying tools, accessories and screws etc. It would be great if there was a more advance power tools course available so I could get more hands on experience. I will be looking at the other courses.

Annie Underwood Apr 2026

I had the BEST time! We were walked through how to use all the tools, helped to make our (sometimes complicated) designs a reality, and I came away with a chopping board I'm really proud of. The time flew by, our tutor was brilliant, and nothing was too much bother. I would 1000% recommend!

Roger Taillefer Apr 2026

Great class, Alex was knowledgable and explained everything really well. Definitely excited to start my 3d printing experience.

I took this course because I have just bought a house that needs renovating, and I was given a drill that I have used, but was never taught how to use it properly, and I am going to buy a sander. This course took us through the right way to use power tools efficiently and safely. It was great, and I can't wait to do more.

Knowledgeable instructor. Extremely informative, very interactive & practicals help a lot with the learning. A balanced approach so you are not overwhelmed with the theory. Very well use of the time.

This was a really helpful session. I've been doing some DIY for years, but still learnt lots on how to use a drill and what screws and rawl plugs work together. It was also great to try machines that I had never used, such as the circular saw, as the experience will make me more likely to use one in the future.

Very informative. A great instructor/ teacher. Best thing I’ve done in years. So well worth the money. If this course was available years ago I would have saved a lot of money. Would highly recommend.
Instructor was very patient!!

I had wanted to learn the basics of joinery for years, and this class popped up in my Instagram feed. It was such a great day. The workshop was really nice with excellent equipment, and the small class size made it easy to hear everything and get advice on our work-in-progress. Really nice atmosphere.
Our teacher, Richard, was evidently so passionate about joinery. He explained everything so well in a gentle, friendly, methodical way. We understood why these things mattered, not just how to do them. He was patient and encouraging. We made half-lap joints in poplar with hand tools only, and I was amazed by the level of precision required.
I had the best day and will be buying some hand tools to keep practicing. I hope to come back for additional joinery classes soon. Thanks!

Nate Rae Mar 2026

I went to Annie's workshop with a couple of friends to get some more practical skills, and had an amazing time. Annie was super informative (and very patient as we all asked a million very specific questions), and there was a nice balance between theory and hands-on practice. Would absolutely recommend for anyone who wants a bit more confidence around the house!

Nick Harper Mar 2026

I really enjoyed this class led by Alex.
Just two pupils so able to ask lots of questions and learn a lot in the time available.
Clear guidance on the basics of 3D printing from materials to software and kit choices and a big plus to see a couple of printers in action.
Now I just need to buy some gear and get started!
Highly recommended,
Thank you

Very good overview of printer hardware, filaments and work flow.
Exactly what I was looking for to start with. Also it was important for me to see the printers and the print output (quality), not just learning the topic on Youtube.
