What you'll do
Looking to explore the world of DIY crafts? This special letter-themed workshop is a great way to try new things – and make a stunning handmade book!
During this fun on-demand online class, you will be creating a book of memories and letters to the future. This personal and unique DIY project is not only great for when you're looking for fun things to do at home but it also makes for a unique gift for a loved one.
Knowledgeable bookbinder, Cass, will take you through each step for making and decorating envelopes as well as teaching you how to stitch them together using an exposed French link stitch.
After that, you'll add a front and back cover to complete this special book. It's the perfect structure for storing written cards and keepsakes such as letters that you want to hold onto.
An experienced writer, Julie, will then take you through letter-writing and how it is not only a form of communication but also storytelling and processing thoughts too. Work alongside Julie at home as you explore some writing exercises to create your hand-bound collection of uplifting and inspiring letters.
This on-demand virtual class provides you with the freedom to work on your writing and bookbinding skills at a time that is convenient for you. Pause, rewind and rewatch as you work completely at your own pace.
All workshop content is delivered via a series of online videos and text you can access whenever you like.
By the end of your virtual class, you will have some new creative skills under your belt and a potential new hobby and project to continue on with!

What you'll get in your craft kit
There are two kit options:- Kit with tools includes everything.
- Kit with no tools, which includes all the papers and stamps but has no bookbinding tools (e.g. awl, needle, bone folder) This is great if you've done a bookbinding class before.
What you'll need
If you decide not to buy a kit please provide your own materials. A comprehensive kit list, including measurements and suggested suppliers, will be provided before the class starts.
