What you'll do
Whether you consider yourself a connoisseur or want to make your first foray into the world of wine, this tasting experience at the renowned South London Wine School in Streatham is a brilliant way to discover your new favourite bottle.
With a flight of six-plus wines taking you on a journey across the globe from California to Cape Town, you'll be guided by the school's chief wine taster as you dive into what makes these bottles truly iconic. You'll have a crib sheet of tasting notes to work from as you make your way through each variety, as well as some fascinating insight into the history, geography and science behind winemaking — far more fun than a double period at secondary school!
You'll also get some insider tips on how to pair wine with food, some hidden supermarket gems and how to decipher the label on your favourite bottle. Whether you're joining in as a couple or bringing the whole gang along for some great wine and even better company, there's a little something for everyone to love.

South London Wine School adheres to COVID-19 government guidelines. They won't run this experience if they've had a continuous cough, a high temperature, or a loss of or change in their normal sense of taste or smell, in the last 14 days.

We sanitise all tables & tasting mats. Our tutors repeatedly sanitise hands when handling glassware or bottles. We wear masks when pouring samples. We have the NHS QR code to scan upon arrival.
Your host
Jonny has a passion for engaging education that puts students at ease with the subject. He believes that the world of specialist knowledge is not the preserve of an exclusive clique, but should be open and accessible for everyone with an interest. Most of all, whether just tasting or studying for an exam, wine should be fun!
Jonny is a regular judge at the World Beer Awards and the International Beer Challenge and was nominated Imbibe Magazine Educator of the Year in 2018
