Your teacher

Hello, I'm Roli, founder of The Hall of Bright Carvings.

I started my journey in woodcarving with a short carpentry and joinery course, I then went on to take a longer furniture craft course. During both courses, I became interested in carving detail into the pieces than the act of the construction of them. This led to me taking on a City and Guilds of London Art School three year Diploma in Ornamental and Historical Woodcarving.

Since 2005, I have taught woodcarving at adult education colleges and from my wonderful studio in Greenwich, as well as accepting commissions for individuals and churches. Come along and discover this special craft and spark a new passion!
