Sarah explained and demonstrated things well and allowed us to be creative. I enjoyed it so much I've been looking into buying Watercolour supplies to try at home!

The beginners workshop was ideal for me as I am not artistic. I thoroughly enjoyed the morning in the lovely calm setting of Sarah’s studio. Sarah is a brilliant teacher, she gives clear instruction with lots of encouragement. I was very pleased with my finished painting.

Sip and Paint Experience at the Broadway

Both me and my daughter had a fabulous day. After a beautiful walk along a woodland path collecting inspiration for our journal, we returned to the studio for a relaxing day of watercolour painting.

Sarah was so knowledgeable about plants trees and nature that we learned so much, which we then documented in our journal.

A delicious lunch was provided along with tea, coffee and juice to keep us all going strong..

It really was the perfect day.

What a lovely day spent with Sarah at her nature journaling workshop. After a wonderful introduction to nature journaling, we explored the beautiful grounds and collected ideas from everything around us. We then returned to the studio to sketch and paint, which was so enjoyable. The lunch was delicious too.

It was a fantastic experience and I learned so much that I can take away with me. It felt like a real pause from busy life and a beautiful chance to reconnect with nature.

Introduction to Ink and Watercolour Architecture

I had a perfect day learning all about nature journaling and came away with a lovely sketch book with my first two pages completed. Sarah was a fabulous teacher, full of interesting information and tips. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she went into lots of details about how to make our journaling pleasurable and successful.

Lovely to meet you Sarah

It’s just nice to sit back and learn something new in my local Pub, and chat to my friend at the same time. plus it wasn’t over crowded plenty of arm and elbow space and no pressure, to complete it. I do intend to finish it and will send you a photo once done.

Would be grateful if you could let me know your other classes you do at Staunton Harold.

When I’ve got more time I will do some more to it

This was a very enjoyable introduction to drawing with ink pens and using watercolour washes. You will be guided step by step through the main principles and at the end you will be able to incorporate the techniques you have learnt into an ink and watercolour painting. Sarah is very supportive and gives you many tips and techniques. This was a great gift, I loved the sessions and I plan to sign up for more classes with Sarah.

I booked a private class for my mum and myself for her birthday - she paints regularly whereas I am a complete beginner. I explained to Sarah my reason for booking and our circumstances, which included some details around making the class accessible for my mum in terms of her hearing/memory and what we would like to get out of the class and Sarah was fantastic - she came back to me quickly, made it super easy to organise, and the day itself was wonderful. Sarah is a skilled, kind and patient teacher and we had a lovely morning sitting in the calm of watercolour and each others company and both were delighted with our results under Sarah’s care. The area surrounding the studio is also lovely with a cute cafe and other stores, and some nice local walks, and so you could easily make a day of it all.

This was my second workshop with Sarah, and I loved it as much as the first. Sarah explains everything so well, and responds to the course partipants, sharing tips and techniques. The session was relaxed, friendly and the time went so quickly. Feel really encouraged in my efforts, and wellbeing boosted too. Will be back for more!

Great day doing Nature journaling not done this before but every thing was explained and given a great resource showing different types of journaling. The nature walk around the estate was lovely

Very relaxing, small group which made it easy to interact with. the tutor was great had very good knowledge and helped us all with our journals

Constant tea coffee and cakes were provided would greatly recommend

A lovely relaxed day learning how to watercolour in a nature journal with Sarah, who explained each step clearly with numerous examples and demonstrations. I liked the practical aspect of walking through the meadows for inspiration, followed by the painting process.

Fourth workshop I have done with Sarah, learning new techniques at every class, subjects are interesting and the pace of the class is perfect for beginners. Don’t worry if you have not painted for years, Sarah is a great, patient teacher who has time for everyone. Class sizes are just right. Already booked onto the next 4 workshops. Such an enjoyable way to relax and forget everything for a few hours and meet some lovely people too!

The workshop was brilliant, I was able to produce a painting that was really nice ever though I am a novice and not in the least artistic. The teacher was excellent, she took us through the picture step by step, explaining clearly the techniques needed. She was so patient and I never felt that I was being rushed. It was such a lovely, relaxing experience.
