Suzan fell in love with clay in her early teens in Turkey but didn't have the chance to get her hands dirty until after she came to London and enrolled on a part-time course in 2004. After finishing her BTEC certification classes in Kensington and Chelsea college Suzan practised her pottery in a studio share in Kilburn.
In 2017 Suzan finally opened her own studio in Plaistow where she designs and creates all of her own work which is inspired by her mixed family background, travels and love for natural objects. Her homeware collection offers a handcrafted alternative to daily life otherwise filled with mass-produced items.

We had a fantastic time and really enjoyed ourselves. Susan was a fabulous teacher. All of the material's were supplied and for our first time we learnt a huge amount in the time we had. Would definitely recommend this class and would definitely go again. Thank you Susan for a very memorable experience!

I treated my daughter to a beginners class for her birthday.
We enjoyed every moment. Suzan, the teacher was amazingclear instructions, very friendly with a great balance - stepping in when we needed it but, allowing us to get on independently.
I would highly recommend this class.
Also, a lovely little cafe downstairs.

I received a voucher as a birthday present and chose pottery! I paid for my husband to come, too. Suzanart was amazing - she was instructive but patient, letting us just get on, intervening only when appropriate (like when the top of my ‘pot’ fell off). The venue was atmospheric and the studio perfectly met our needs. We had plenty of clay to use and all the equipment was easy enough for novices like ourselves to use. We managed to make 4 pots and chose our best ones to be fired and glazed and we look forward to picking up the finished product's. We are very proud of our efforts, thanks to Suzanart. The class was good value for money because we had Suzanart’s full attention and she even provided big, colourful trousers to protect our clothes. The best thing? The opportunity to be guided in something different and have an end product. Would highly recommend

loved this class, Suzan was great at explaining what to do, was so friendly, patient and encouraging. It was amazing how quickly my confidence grew through the pots I made, taking home something I was really proud of.

Suzan and Mandy (who came along to help) were absolutely BRILLIANT. Suzan made accommodations for us being a larger class than usual (35 of us for our all company Christmas event). The hand clay was such a great activity to do together to showcase everyone's individual creativity and approaches to the same task. Suzan was so helpful, setting up a call to coordinate, travelling to the space we had booked for the day, bringing all the equipment, giving us direction and guidance, making the clay-making task so clear and helping package our pots up safely to take away. Would 100% recommend! Thanks Suzan :)

I had a great time learning to make pottery with Suzan. She was explained and demonstrated how to do it initially very well, and then left me to try things out myself with guidance every now and then. The workshop was very enjoyable and balanced difficulty/ challenge with fun very well. I am keen on taking this further now and would highly recommend Suzan and this workshop to anyone.

A great introductory class to the pottery wheel. Suzan first demonstrated the technique of throwing and pulling the clay whilst we watched. We then went on to make four pots each, the first attempt she guided us gently but after that she let us go on our own! A great way to feel confident in making a pot from start to finish by yourself! A peaceful studio, Suzan was a friendly relaxed teacher. We have now decided to go on a full course! We have recommended her to many of our friends.

I would like to thank you for a fantastic pottery class . Both myself and my husband Peter attended a two hour pottery wheel class and we just loved it. We had no experience beforehand but our teacher Suzanne was so patient and made the experience so enjoyable.
We would both recommend this class to everyone. The venue was so welcoming and situated in a beautiful park here we enjoyed a cappuccino before and after our class which we purchased from the lovely friendly cafe staff downstairs.

Absolutely brilliant class. As a complete beginner to throwing, I really didn't expect I'd be able to produce anything looking vaguely like a pot on the day but Suzanna's patient and detailed guidance made it possible and she was so friendly and approachable. With just 2 of us in the class we got plenty of one to one attention. Great value for money, venue was perfect, well set up. Would love to do it again, absolutely brilliant! Thank you so much

I loved my class with Suzan, she was a great teacher, giving really clear guidance and instructions, helping as I got the hang of it but then giving plenty of space for me to find my own way and practice. I managed to throw 5 bowls in the 2hr session and could see my improvement across the 5.
Really lovely little studio and very friendly. I really appreciated the small class size which meant I could ask questions whenever needed.
I'm looking forward to receiving my chosen bowl through the post and would 100% recommended this class for anyone wanting a good introduction session.

Great class in bright studio. We were given a good demonstration and I had time to make 4 pots and a plate. You then choose your best price and Suzanne will glaze and fire it. So happy I came to improve my throwing skills! Would come back.

Very cosy studio and very professional feeling too. Suzan is a fantastic teacher who taught us the basics but also let us do our own thing as well, with excellent guidance. The whole experience was very soothing and therapeutic in many ways.
We threw 4 pots in total which was enough to get the hang of it within the 2 hours. Would definitely do it again and recommend to friends!

The most wonderful experience, Suzan is so gentle and helpful. The studio is filled with beautiful light and has a magical feel. 2 wonderful hours and with such a small class size we had a sweet private class together with my husband.
Certainly suggest you make time to enjoy a class with Suzan, it will be a wonderful memory with a beautiful piece to keep the moment in your mind forever.

It was my first class of pottery making. The clock stopped and it was very therapeutic and even tranquil.
I practiced how to make the basic shapes and got that educative exiting filling how to make something nice with your hands.

My 2nd class was just as much fun as my first! Already starting to feel more confident and, with expert guidance, getting better at 'pulling up'. Impossible to be stressed or have negative thoughts when you're doing this

Absolutely wonderful!
Suzan was an amazing teacher for first time throwers.
She was patient, friendly and detailed in her teachings throughout our whole session.
Both my partner and I are absolute beginners with only rudimental understanding of throw pottery.
During the session, we learnt the basics of throwing, from centering the clay to the technique of pulling the clay to form.
The two hours went by in a flash and by the end of our session we had wonderful pottery that we'd be happy to show and tell to our friends and family!
As an added bonus, we could even get our work of art delivered to us fully kilned and glazed to our liking.
Thank you Suzan for a wonderful day out for both Ellie and I.

My partner and I absolutely loved the class. The 1-1 was just what we needed. The teacher was very patient and helped us as necessary but also left room for us to explore ourselves. I would recommend 110% & I would definitely come back again!

Very kind and friendly teacher, who was always very patient, and gave lots of tips that helped her when she was learning. The studio was a great space for wheel throwing, and the wheel was perfect and easy to control. Brilliant value for money. Overall, a great experience!

Suzan was such a great teacher and I thoroughly enjoyed the class. I’m a beginner to using the pottery wheel and her instruction throughout the class was so helpful and she create a relaxing atmosphere. The small class is an added bonus. I would highly recommend her class and I will definitely be trying pottery again!
