StitchLounge.Scot is my sewing room, and a classroom. I want it to be a gathering place for people who sew, and who want to learn to sew.
I’m a Quiltmaker – and I love to teach!
I have been sewing since I was 10 years old, and I have been teaching formally since 2012. I offer Sewing Survival Skills and Absolute Beginner Sewing Workshops, and courses in Patchwork & Quilting, Bag Making and Garment Sewing. I also teach kids to sew! Whether you are an absolute beginner or an experienced stitcher, there’s a session to suit you.
I believe that making something is the most powerful way to express ourselves. I want to help you find your craft, and your creative space. My teaching philosophy is project based, we will focus on enjoying the process and having something to show for your efforts. My goal is to foster your creativity through hands-on learning.
StitchLounge’s vibe is “Social Sewing”, it’s a place to work at your own pace, on the projects of your choice, while enjoying the company of others who love to sew. Book into a Social Sewing Club session to see what it’s all about.
