Hi, we are Liddy and Adam and we're here to help you all improve your creativity and activity in the Milton Keynes area. Our motto is "Making art and sport fun, healthy, creative and inclusive; regardless of age or ability."
Liddy graduated from Derby University in 2005 after gaining a BA Hons Degree in Illustration. She completed her PGCE before embarking on a 10 year secondary school art teaching career in Bedfordshire and Buckinghmshire. She is currently undetaking a course in the History of Art. Liddy left teaching to start her own business Something Less Boring in 2017 to bring art and sport to a wider audience
Liddy lives in Buckinghamshire delivering art and creative drawing workshops as well as relaxing Sip & Paint evenings. She also produces contemporary abstract art and papercut work, undertaking commissions too.
We run a whole host of different art classes and courses in venues across the area, and can't wait to welcome you for some relaxing, rejuvenating painting, drawing or printmaking. If you're not local, we also offer a selection of remote classes via Zoom. With new offerings added each month, you're sure to find something that speaks to your creative side!

We had an interesting and enjoyable experience. Never thought I could actually finish the painting in the time given seeing as my husband was steaming ahead as he is quite good at drawing/painting. I was happy and impressed with what I managed to achieve. Nice tea and cake too!

Great venue. A lovely, relaxed atmosphere. It was really enjoyable to have time to focus on painting, being given some great tips along the way. I would definitely go again.

Fantastic, I’m a total beginner and not done any art since mid 70s. This was a watercolour painting, bit scary but was totally put at ease. The pace was perfect, tutor excellent communicator and really helpful when I asked a question. Really enjoyed the 2 hours, for first try I’m encouraged and looking forward to next one

I had a lovely time and really liked how well paced the whole session was. I couldn’t show my one to Liddy at the end as I had to drop out a few minutes early so posting here.

Lovely class. The painting was very therapeutic and the teacher gave lots of useful tips without rushing you. I went on my own and didn't feel out of place. It's a very welcoming class. And now I have a lovely painting to frame!

Class Bento's Paint Like The Masters is such a great initiative. It's amazing how everyone ends up with a great work of art. Highly recommend these classes. This was a class based on the work of Cezanne.

Really lovely class - the perfect way to relax after a stressful day. Out of Office coffee shop was a great choice of venue, really good coffee and gorgeous cake! Teaching was just right - instructive but laid back. Will definitely come again ☺️

Very enjoyable class. Learned about the life and works of Van Gogh. Such a shame these artists weren't recognised more during their lifetime.

This was my first class with Liddy and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The time flew by but at no point did the session feel rushed. Will definitely be booking some more classes.

Great value for money. I learnt different types of printing which I hope to continue now on my own. I found it very interesting. Liddy is a great teacher and very nice.
The supply of hot drinks, water and cake was greatly appreciated.

Liddy is the best teacher ever. You are given plenty time to paint along and Liddy gives you the background to the artist, as well as some top tips for painting. Fabulous class.

Best class ever. The tutor gave everyone time to paint and I enjoyed the explanation and information about Rousseau's work. Brilliant way to spend an afternoon x

Really enjoyed this class. The tutor explained different techniques and allowed plenty of time. First time using acrylic, palette knives, and painting on canvas. I'm really pleased with the results. Would definitely book again.
