Do you love sewing, but never find the time to get stuck into it at home? Are you looking to build your skills in a supportive environment? Do you just want to sew in the company of others?
Come along to Creative Space and enjoy three blissful hours of uninterrupted sewing, working on a project of your choice. I will be on hand throughout to give any guidance and help you may need.
What to expect:
  • A relaxing and friendly sewing social
  • Bring along your own project to work on and immerse yourself in it
  • Use your own sewing machine or hire one for an extra £5
  • An overlocker is available to use, plus a cutting table and iron
Thank yourself later for making space for some creativity and calm in your day.


Knowledge required
Beginners/improvers/experienced. Everyone is welcome!
 
What you'll get
3 hours away from the distractions of home and family, to work on your own sewing project and have a nice chat in the process (if you want!). Also, help and advice from me if you need :)
 
What to bring
A sewing project or two, a sewing machine, and a sewing kit including thread. Sewing machines are available to hire for an extra cost (£5), and basic sewing kits are also available to use if needed.

Designer and Maker Lauren Holloway has been running her own slow-fashion handbag and accessory brand since 2013. Lauren specialises in making sustainable bags, purses, laptop cases and toiletry storage, all handcrafted in her Bristol-based studio. She has extensive knowledge and experience in designing patterns and sewing anything from coin purses to backpacks. Lauren offers a range of sewing workshops from beginner to intermediate level, where participants can learn the basics of using a domestic sewing machine, brush up on existing sewing skills or develop new techniques to improve their craft. You’ll leave the workshop with new-found knowledge and inspiration for future projects plus you’ll take home a beautiful handmade bag you can enjoy for years to come.
