13 hours total (over 2 dates) Class size 6 to 12     label £195

Looking for some creative activities in Dunblane? They don't get better than this jewellery making course. Transforming a sheet of silver into a piece of handmade jewellery is an exciting and satisfying creative experience that you are sure to fall in love with.

Over the course of two silversmithing classes, you will be introduced to some traditional techniques and tools used to make jewellery. Your talented teacher will go over some useful demonstrations and share all their best tips and tricks to guide you through the process.

You will learn sawing, soldering, annealing, filing, texturing and shaping over two days. You'll be starting with copper to practise these skills and build confidence. They have very similar properties and is a great way to train before you get hands-on with silver to craft your final pieces.

This course is a great stepping stone for learning some advanced techniques. Beginners will love how welcoming and easy it is to take these first steps into jewellery making, and improvers looking for a refresher in working with silver can join us to make some more complex pieces.

Extra silver can be purchased, at cost price, during the course if needed.

Please note:

  • In the unlikely event we do not have enough attendees, this class may be cancelled. If this happens, you will be fully refunded and notified a day before.
  • Occasionally our classes run slightly over the finishing time depending on the complexity of student designs. Please allow for an extra 30 minutes buffer time at the end of the day.
Minimum age is 16.
