What you'll do
Enjoy a stimulating day of jewellery-making in our new comfortable home studio while learning some new skills, meeting up with friends and family - or just treating yourself. If you're on the hunt for things to do in Worcester and its surrounding areas with your close friends, then this is the perfect crafty class for you.
This class starts at 9:30 and ends around 4pm.
To kick off this relaxed day of learning how to make jewellery, you will start with some basic copper wire work. This is a great way to ease you into some of the skills and techniques you will need throughout the day. You'll then move on to making silver jewellery by hand.
You can choose from a range of projects to complete during your day. From simple rings to drop earrings, pendants and open bangles, there are many ideas to tempt your imagination when it comes to the final making activity of the day.
Class fee does not include silver. You only pay for the weight of the silver you have used at the end of the class.
There will be plenty of advice and guidance from your friendly teacher, and there is ample opportunity for your personal input.

Hi, my name is Jonathan Kettle and I love teaching Silver Jewellery making in my new “home studio”, specialising in helping complete beginners to make their own silver jewellery.
For many years I worked in engineering, then education for a long time, before taking early retirement and setting up my own silver jewellery workshop. For a few years I happily ran my classes from my narrowboat (The Silver Jewellery Boat), moored alongside the beautiful Worcestershire canals. It was a great time although Covid put an end to that and now the boat is sadly sold.
The good news is that in my new home studio, I aim to bring you the same high quality experience for your silver jewellery classes. Now I’m very keen to get started making silver jewellery again, and hoping you will come along and take part in this deeply satisfying process. My main aim is for you to have a really nice time making silver jewellery. The cake and nice coffee are important, but to help you to be successful and enjoy your jewellery making is what I really work hard at to achieve.
