What you'll do
Want to recreate a classic pub lunch in the comfort of your own home? Pop along to this London cooking class and learn how to make some top-notch grub with experienced chef Tara.
During this two and a half-hour cooking class, you'll pick up the skills you need to make three different types of scotch egg (including black pudding with apple and duck yolk). You will also make pork and red onion sausage rolls with homemade spiced apple chutney, along with assembling a cheese board and salad to accompany everything.
Through a combination of hands-on learning and informative demonstrations from your talented host, you'll gain some nifty new cooking skills and have a blast while doing it! Even if this is your first time in a kitchen, Tara will be behind you every step of the way to make sure you're on the right track.
Whether you're coming along solo or bringing a few friends for some culinary fun, you'll love learning to cook in this relaxed, beginner-friendly atmosphere.

Your teacher
Tara Cookery was founded in 2017 by Tara Guinness. In 2013 Tara trained at Leith’s School of Food and Wine, studying the full year diploma. After graduating she went to India and worked in a five-star hotel kitchen in the jungle at a remote nature reserve, creating the menu and training the staff. It was here that her love of teaching was born. She then moved to Delhi to work for CAARA, a busy, fast-moving catering company, cooking for events and organising pop-up restaurants at Delhi’s art fairs.
On returning to the UK Tara worked for Kricket at Pop Brixton, her first day being the opening night. She also did freelance work for supper clubs and catering companies such as The Art of Dining and Peardrop London.
Tara worked for three years at Carousel London, a wonderful restaurant in Marylebone. The concept involved inviting a different international guest head chef every week to showcase their individual menu and cuisine. This experience introduced Tara to a huge range of fascinating dishes and techniques from all over the world.
Tara Cookery aims to teach anyone how to cook, from shaky beginners to students who wish to sharpen their pastry skills. Tara loves getting to know her clients and enjoys tailoring classes to suit their needs.
