She helps to promote confidence in those with less experience but recognises the talent of more experienced and guides them gently to achieve fantastic results. I was so pleased with the finished scarves. I would highly recommend this course to develop colour mixing, gutta application and designing a finished scarf. A friendly atmosphere throughout.

It was a huge challenge for me as I don’t have an artistic bone in my body — I can’t draw, I can’t paint, and I have no imagination! Even the idea of “art” usually scares me. But Mandy has such a great approach, along with plenty of patience (and a good sense of humour), which really helped the whole group progress and feel comfortable. I never imagined that I would be able to design and paint two scarves — and actually enjoy doing it! The atmosphere in the class was relaxed and informal, but don’t be fooled — we worked hard and learned a lot. It’s incredibly addictive. Thank you Mandy for such a warm welcome and for a fantastic, fun class.
