Interested in delving into the world of precious metal clay? This silversmithing class in Falkirk will introduce you to the art of creating stunning silver pieces using PMC, or precious metal clay. You'll learn how to hand model, press into moulds, and use unique textures to craft your own silver charms and jewellery.
Don't worry if you're new to silver clay – this beginner-friendly workshop is designed to make you feel comfortable and confident as you explore exciting craft. You'll work with silver particles held together with an organic binder, allowing you to create intricate designs with ease.
During the class, you'll -
  • Make moulds from found objects like shells and buttons.
  • Experiment with rolled textures and shaped cutters to craft different elements.
  • Use PMC paste to join these elements and silver wire for finishing touches.
By the end of the workshop, you'll have the skills to create your own professionally finished pendants, earrings, and more, all with a touch of silver magic. You'll leave with unique pieces that reflect your creativity and newly acquired silversmithing knowledge.
