Pottery Painting Workshop

Unleash your creativity with our mindful pottery painting workshop - escape, connect and create.

2 hours Class size 5 to 50     label £35

Grab a glass delicious glass of prosecco (or a non-alcoholic alternative!) and join me for a relaxing and mindful afternoon of pottery painting at Studio Dawn in Media City, Salford.

During this two-hour workshop, you’ll be able to paint your own plate or mug using a variety of paint colours, brushes and different mark-making tools surrounded by beautifully curated table dressings.

After the workshop, your plate will be taken away and glaze fired and will be available for collection from the Manchester Ceramics Collective in Old Trafford, two weeks from the date of the workshop. Plates and mugs can also be posted for a small additional fee.

I’m Ellie, a ceramicist based at the Manchester Ceramics Collective in Old Trafford and also work in the Interior Design Industry. I have been working with clay for nearly 7 years and now run workshops that combine my knowledge in interior design and with clay.

However, I aim to offer workshops that are more than just ceramics. Following an extremely difficult year where I lost someone incredibly special to me to mental health, I’ve had an overwhelming desire to do something that makes a difference.

Mental health is becoming more prominent than it ever has before, with an overwhelming amount of life pressures. At Sculpt and Sip, I aim to create a peaceful, mindful environment where people can come, connect, relax and escape from the stresses of busy lives and focus on the task of creating (over a glass of Prosecco or a non-alcoholic alternative!)

I still want to be able to give something back and fulfill that desire to do something to help. That’s why 10% of all profits from Sculpt and Sip workshops go directly to Mind charity to help others who may need support through a difficult time.
