Potters Wheel for Beginners Workshop

Learn the process of throwing on a pottery wheel at this pottery class in Saltford.

1.5 hours Location Saltford Class size 1 to 3 guests   £50

Discover the joy of wheel throwing in this 1.5-hour pottery class in Saltford. You'll learn how to shape and mould clay on the wheel and take home a piece that's entirely your own. No experience is needed, so you can learn at your own pace in a patient, encouraging setting.
The class takes place in a charming pottery studio by the riverside, which makes for a calm and inspiring backdrop. All materials are included, so you can focus on the clay under your hands.
During the session, you'll:
  • Learn how to centre and shape clay on the wheel
  • Create your own unique piece of pottery
  • Choose your favourite creation at the end of the session
  • Select a glaze that I will add to your piece after the bisque firing. (Optional add on if you wish to stay for an extra hour in the studio to hand decorate your piece yourself)
You'll leave with a new skill, a sense of accomplishment and, hopefully, a newfound passion for pottery. Your finished piece will be ready for collection two to four weeks later.
