In this exciting pottery class workshop, you will have the opportunity to create your very own pet bowl from scratch. Learn the art of pottery and how to shape and mould clay into a functional and aesthetically pleasing piece for your furry friend. No prior experience is necessary – Katie will guide you step by step through the process, alleviating any fears you may have about working with clay.
This workshop is perfect for beginners and experienced potters alike. During this 3-hour session, you'll be guided step-by-step through the process, from rolling out clay slabs to assembling and decorating your bowl with creative touches. Add your pet’s name, paw prints, or unique designs to make it truly special.
By the end of the workshop, you will have a beautifully crafted pet bowl that reflects your personal touch and newfound pottery skills. The bowl will be fired and glazed in your choice of colour and will be ready to collect from the studio 4-5 weeks after the session.

Hi, I’m Katie, a passionate ceramic artist with a BA Hons in Three-Dimensional Design from Manchester School of Art. My journey with clay began as a student, but over the years since (10 years!!), it has grown into a career filled with exploration, creativity, and teaching.
I currently teach in several ceramics studios around Manchester, but one of my favorite spaces is Good Yard Studio—a lovely creative hub filled with talented makers and inspiring events. It’s a space that perfectly reflects the collaborative and experimental spirit I love about working with clay. This is where my workshops and lessons will be hosted.
Over the years, teaching has become an integral part of my practice. Designing and delivering projects for students with varying abilities and goals has taught me how to adapt and bring out the best in everyone.
For me, clay is a limitless medium for self-expression and growth, and I’m thrilled to share my passion with others. Whether you’re just starting out or refining your skills, I’m here to help you create something beautiful and meaningful.
Let’s get started and make something amazing together!
