Pastry is my favourite. Weirdly, it’s even my to go to when I’m feeling low. Making the dough and turning it into delicious morsels, has somewhat a very soothing effect. So I find it extremely sad when people tell me they’re not good at it.
In this class, I will not only teach you how to make the perfect one, but also to enjoy making it.
In this workshop, you will learn how to make the perfect sweet and savoury shortcrust.
Together with a range of techniques such as frangipane and pastry cream to be able to create exquisite savoury croustades, quiches and beautiful sweet tartelettes.
This class is suitable for vegetarians.
At the end of the session, you will be able to take away your moreish creations.
This class includes a delicious home made lunch.

My passion for cooking comes from my childhood. I was born on the island of Réunion, a small French colony off the coast of Madagascar. Although my parents moved to France when I was very small, the spirit of the island was very much alive in our home, and especially in our kitchen.
I love introducing a touch of sunshine into my cooking and often add tropical flavours from Réunion to my desserts to give a vibrant twist to the elegant French classics. All the recipes used at Gourmandises Académie are my own, and each one has been developed with time and a lot of love.
