What you'll do

This beginners' acrylic painting class will calm your mind and help you get creative. You'll paint a serene ocean scene as you tune into a relaxing state of mind.

Guided by an expert teacher, you'll be taught how to paint step-by-step as you create a unique piece of art based on the beauty and power of ocean waves.

This painting class is designed to help you relax, have fun, meet like-minded people and create some art that is meaningful to you. You'll think about the movement of the sea and the constant flow of life and nature. Life happens in waves. Your youth, your relationships with your loved ones, your career, your children and your family — all of these waves lift you up and move you along your life’s journey.

Learning to paint in an open and friendly environment will give you the confidence to express yourself. You'll be shown how to best use acrylic paint – a great paint for beginners for ease of use and its quick drying time! You'll be taught some simple tips to get you started and you'll soon be fully immersed in your activity.

As you paint, your teacher will guide you in some meditative practice to help you relax and ease into your art. You'll feel rejuvenated and creatively refreshed by the end of your painting class and you'll head home with a new piece of ocean artwork to treasure.

Please note: Venues will be in Central London (Zone 1 & 2) or mobile.

Ticket prices for private classes reflect our most basic package. If you discuss what you want with the teacher, then you can create a bespoke experience for your group needs. This will increase the price.

It was ok but it was advertised as a sip and paint which it wasn’t.
The teacher was nice but not overly informative.
I certainly didn’t feel it was worth the £38 and sadly I wouldn’t be going to another event again.

I enjoyed the class on the whole, but there wasn't much instruction from the teacher. It was more of a watch and do your best to copy. No instruction on technique, or changing brush type etc, just lots on blending the paint to make different colours. This is a beginners class, so a bit of instruction would be great. Overall, an enjoyable class.

Teacher Raphael was great, very clear instructions and friendly too. The setting was a bit loud but not the fault of the teachers. I would recommend this class to others.

Not too hard if you follow instructions and the end product is quite nice to keep. It's a nice way to spend an afternoon with a friend, totally worth it!

The idea is great. The location is great. But probably doesn’t fit complete beginners.
We’ve been given the colours, the brushes and an example of the picture we’re making. For the person who never held a brush that wasn’t enough. I was expecting to be given certain techniques or a guidance how to make it work.

Great experience! Definitely doing it again! I didn’t know I had it in me! It felt so natural to play with colours. I loved the fact that I was also free to paint my own interpretation and not strictly follow the instructions. Really lovely venue with a chilled, warm and rustic atmosphere. Mellissa was very friendly and she gently guided us throughout. Really good fun!

I attended a small (4 students) painting class which was a lovely introduction to Bento, I had never been before. The atmosphere was welcoming and teacher (Melissa ) friendly and helpful. I was lucky that there was another person there who was into being social and chatty as otherwise it might not have been so nice. I would say that when there are only very few people -and especially couples who often don’t feel the need to be overly social as they have each other- it would be a good idea to have a little short icebreaker activity at the start and perhaps even ask people to not sit in the couple formation as its just easier then to chat. But it was a great experience and a lovely thing to do on a rainy afternoon. I recommend.

Definitely worth it! A small group of nice people willing to discover something new. There was both enough guidance provided and enough freedom given to try things. It was the first time I took a painting class and I really enjoyed it. The time was well managed too.
