Intermediate Crochet Workshop: Patterns and Projects

Improvers Crochet is perfect for people who have attended our beginners' crochet workshop.

3 hours Location Whitley Bay Class size 1 to 8 guests   £35

Step up from the basics in this follow-on crochet workshop, perfect for anyone who's completed our 3-hour beginner's class and is ready to build on their foundation chains and basic stitches. You'll recap double and treble stitches, learn how to read abbreviated patterns – which opens up a whole world of crochet possibilities – and then start creating your own piece.
Depending on where you are in your learning, you might work on classic Granny Squares, intricate Mandalas, or delicate Flowers. Your tutor will guide you through each pattern, helping you understand the logic behind the abbreviations so you can apply it to future projects. Everyone works at their own pace – there's no rush – and you'll leave with exactly what you've managed to complete on the day, which is genuinely impressive.
All materials are provided, so just show up with your hands ready. You'll take home workshop handouts, yarn, and a hook, meaning you've got everything you need to keep practicing once the workshop ends. There's real value in having those resources to hand when you're at home, giving you the confidence to experiment and try new patterns.
You'll finish feeling accomplished and genuinely eager to explore more – that's the whole point of this workshop. You're not just learning techniques; you're building a crochet practice you can keep going with.
Please note: this workshop is located upstairs above Face Facts Aesthetics on Park View. Regrettably, there is no lift access. Workshop cost is £35, including complimentary refreshments (please bring your own if you have specific dietary requirements). Payment is non-refundable and non-transferable.
What you'll get
To take home their crochet creation, handout some wool and a hook to continue your project.

Re-Create today was set up in 2016 and the aim was to create a safe and fun environment to offer a range of sewing and crafting inspired workshops. We run our workshops on the first floor premises of 62-64 Park View in Whitley Bay. We host and run workshops, courses and weekly groups. I have personally been running sewing and textile workshops for over eight years now. Our courses are run over a four week period for two and a half hours each week. Materials are included in our courses. The courses are aimed at absolute beginners. Mental Health is very important and our workshops enable the attendees to be mindful and focus on the task in hand. This enables them to be present and for a short time forgot about the daily stresses of the outside world.
