My and my partner went for the afternoon taster session. What a wonderful learning experience. We went in knowing absolutely nothing, and have come out having made 3 pieces of pottery to add to the kitchen. Lovely calm space with great guidance. Would highly recommend for trying something completely new!

We had the most amazing time at Sheen Pottery. Our teacher gave very clear instruction and had the perfect balance of us producing our own work but being on hand to help get us back on track. What a wonderfully creative way to spend an afternoon learning the basic skills of pottery throwing! Adam was an enthusiastic and patient teacher throughout, expertly guiding us beginners to perfect our first cylinder pots shaped on the wheel! The Sheen Pottery studio is a lovely light and airy space for small groups to try their hands at new skills shaping clay. I’m excited to return and collect my fired and glazed pots. This taster session has definitely given me the confidence to participate in a longer pottery course at the studio in the future.

I loved this pottery class! The instructor was fantastic - very patient and encouraging. She demonstrated each step several times and also helped each of us individually on our potters wheels. My first pieces were not great, but we had plenty of time to practise and by the end of the class I felt like I was getting the hang of it and I was very pleased with the pieces that I chose. I was given the pottery class as a Christmas present and went on my own, but I felt very comfortable as part of the small, relaxed group. I really had a brilliant time and am hoping to go back.

I got tickets as a present for mum and my sister in law, we learnt the basics of pottery and even managed to make, bowls, small vases and simple candlestick holders (with a bit of help from the tutor!) she was incredibly helpful and welcoming, the venue was lovely small but spacious enough for everyone, it was just a great experience all together we were in a group of 6 and it was great to get a taster of what it's like to throw pottery! Wonderful experience 10/10 would love to do it again!

I-a pensioner and retired for nearly 25 years-tried throwing pots for the first time in my life at a Taster Class! Sarah was an excellent teacher and so patient in helping me create two pots that were roughly round in shape-photograph attached as proof. Really enjoyable as well as being a good workout for the upper body.
