What you'll do
Book this this fun and friendly craft class and discover the art of modern calligraphy! Modern calligraphy is a fresh take on traditional calligraphy lettering and allows you to incorporate your own style, making it completely unique.Whether you are a beginner or an improver, during this class, you will benefit from a friendly and supportive teacher who will show you the ropes. Using a nib and ink, you will be introduced to the basic techniques from the fine stroke at the beginning of an A to the flourish on the end of a Z. By the end of this class, you will be able to produce a beautifully written piece.During the workshop, there will be exercises that will help you practise the basic forms of modern calligraphy as well as opportunities to develop your own personal style of writing. Along the way, there will be plenty of time for one-to-one guidance so that you will walk away from this fun calligraphy class feeling inspired and confident with your new writing skill! By the end of the class, you'll be ready to take your newfound hobby home with you and create hand-lettered pieces from greeting cards to making your own prints!
