This unguided session gives you free use of collage materials. Work on your own themed compositions using the high-quality magazines, paper, stickers, tape and shapes provided. Switch off from the day-to-day and leave the session with a handful of brilliant collages!

Art Play London was founded by Silva Castellani in 2018, starting in galleries such as Phillips, and pop up venues around London.
Art Play is now a new art studio which opened in East London in February 2022, where children and adults of all ages are free to release their imaginations and inner creativity.
Art Play has a strong focus and the environment and aims to educate children and adults on their environmental impact through art, using a variety of sustainable mediums and materials.
Art Play is part of the worldwide Precious Plastic community which means it will be a plastic collection point for people to drop off their HDPE plastic which would otherwise end up in landfills or the ocean. The plastic is then shredding and melted and turned into useful objects and pieces of art, such as plant pots and coasters.

We really enjoyed our collage workshop, it was the perfect activity to catch up with an old friend, chat and do an activity that really helped to end a creative slump, didn’t take up so much brain power that we couldn’t chat and the time passed too quickly really! (We didn’t think we would need to be there for the whole time but we could easily have stayed for much longer!) already planning to come again :)

We had a great time making collages! It was nice to have the space and materials to be creative and feel in the flow. The session was unstructured so we didn’t have a teacher and we were given magazines to use for our collages. We wills definitely come back again :)

My sister enjoyed this, but there was no teacher and noone leading the class and there weren't really enough materials (glue and magazines and paper to cut up). We could have done with a big of inspiration!
It's a great opportunity to relax and enjoy your art time. I loved the experience, definitely I'm gonna do it again.

Absolutely amazing place, an oasis in such a busy Spitalfields market, but it fits there so well. Me and my 11 year old daughter went for collage workshop. Staff member Dawn was very helpful. All the materials were supplied. Good but not too loud music. We had such a good time there. And already have plans to come back for different art lessons.

Supplies and atmosphere were good! I was a little overestimated by the noise (noise sensitivity) so I had a mild headache but it was very fun!

The venue was a lovely space in the heart of spitalfields Market. There were lots of other classes and activities going on, which was great, however did not provide the most calm or mindful space for collage. I found the materials were a bit sparse although the lovely staff found me a few more magazines and overall I made a lovely collage. Will be back as next time I hope there will be more people doing collage as well.

The environment was great , the staff was very nice and friendly and the materials perfectly adequate for collage. I just couldn't believe that, even though,the price for this activity was so low, I was the only one enjoying this wonderful and relaxing craft that is collage.
Any way, just being in an stimulating environment made me discover new ways of making collage.
I highly recommend and if you can bring a friend, even better!

I initially booked a collage class for myself and my daughter, however the confirmation email I was sent had the incorrect address and we were stood outside for 20 minutes. I called the organisers and they were very apologetic and kind enough to find an alternative class.
We then went to a guided painting class run by Abigal Yentis. The class was very enjoyable, Abigail made learning to paint very easy and at the end of the class we got to take the painting back home with us.
I would definitely recommend the class and look forward to attending more workshops.

we were waiting at the door for ages before any staff member spoke to us. The lady in question had looked up at us multiple times and said nothing, as she was in normal clothes we didn’t know she was staff until we started wondering round to look for someone. It was a very odd experience.
No one was at the bar/coffee station so we didn’t know whether we could order drinks and the selection of collage material was limited.

It was a good experience but some issues - time was changed last minute, on arrival only one glue stick to share, stated that tea/coffee was included online but it wasn’t working in store
