2.5 hours Class size 1 to 5 (public classes), 5 to 6

label £52 - £59 (£59 per guest when you book for 1 guest, £55 for 2+ guests, £52 for 4+ guests)

In this creative papercraft workshop, you'll learn to make pictures using simple techniques to apply metallic foils to paper.

Guided by your talented teacher Gabriela at her Camberwell studio, you'll choose from gold, silver, copper and coloured foils to make your piece of artwork.

You'll be shown how to use metallic foiling techniques creatively through stencilling, stamping and painting. As well as guiding you through the technical process, your expert teacher will help you design compositions that work.

This class is suitable for complete beginners as well as more experienced creatives keen to learn new techniques. With small class sizes, you'll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions to build your skills and gain individual tuition from your teacher, Gabriela.

By the end of the session, you will leave the studio having completed one or more pictures suitable for framing as well as your own reference samples showing different application methods. You'll also go away with a host of creative skills which you can use at home for future projects. Get ready to be inspired!

Gabriela is an artist and maker. She creates pictures, decorative objects, greeting cards and jewellery with images inspired by memory, nostalgia and a love of everything vintage.

Her work is often humorous and whimsical – unless her romantic side takes over and then you enter into a fairy-tale territory of old-fashioned script, pages of books and music scores populated by chivalrous gentlemen, glamorous ladies, butterflies and rabbits. She blends a fusion of painting and digital media – acrylic, watercolour and ink with digital print – onto paper and canvas to create a wide range of work.

In addition to her own creative endeavours, she is passionate about inspiring other people and sharing her skills, so she devotes a good portion of her time to teaching.
