This craft kit is an art workshop in a tin, with full instructions and raw clay straight to your door. You can make whatever kind of picture you like — a poem of your own? Or perhaps a drawing?
This DIY kit includes:
After crafting your lovely clay creation, you can easily post it back to us to be glazed and fired. We'll get in touch with you to ask about colours. The price you pay includes all materials, firings, a hanging hook and posting the tin out to you, as well as posting the finished picture back to you.
Please note:
Clay is a live material until fired. It will be posted to you in a sealed bag, but there is a slight danger it will dry out if you wait too long before you use it. If you are planning to use it on a set date, send it to someone as a birthday gift, please let us know and we will post the clay out at the right time.
Framing will be offered at an additional cost if desired.

- A cloth to keep your surfaces clean while you work on the clay.

Your provider
Hi, we're Michaela and Chris and we're Seatree, an ongoing experiment into living creatively. We make things from clay; pots, pictures, sculptures. Plus, a lot of our work uses original poetry. Michaela does most of the pottery and Chris writes the poetry and works with wood.
In 2016 we decided to try to live a different kind of life; simpler, more sustainable and more creative. We both worked in stressful jobs (Chris as social worker/manager of mental health services, Michaela as a community worker) and we had the usual financial pressures, but a window of opportunity opened up and then Seatree was born.
