I'm Magda, a Polish artist and photographer working from my London studio. With a great passion for historical photographic and printmaking techniques, I produce my own work and teach fun and creative methods of printmaking to fellow artists, beginners or those who simply wish to spend some time getting creative!
My journey with historical processes began in 2013 and since then I've worked with a range of photographic techniques: more experimental and complex such as wet plate collodion photographic glass plate process invented in 1856, gum bichromate, salt print, as well as those basic and simple to use like cyanotype, anthotype or pinhole photography. For the last few years, I have taken part in several festivals, larger community projects and private events internationally, providing participants with a great deal of knowledge, experience and entertainment.
In the past I have collaborated with various art institutions and galleries across London, including University of Arts London, British Museum, CitizenM, WeTransfer providing all sorts of unique experiences for local communities and participants of all levels of experience: adults, seniors, children and adults with learning disabilities.
I look forward to sharing my passion for historical photographic printmaking techniques with you!

The class was interesting with concepts explained and a practical session. Refreshingly, flora from the garden was picked and used in the practical exercise. The output was fascinating! Thank you Magda. Highly recommended if your interest lies in Historic Photography.

Excellent class with Magda on botanical blueprinting. The studio was very nice, and Magda was lovely, a true pleasure to take part in this class and learn more about a new art medium!

Madga was a very nice teacher and knows a lot about old printing methods. We were 7 guests: we all enjoyed the class and took lovely cyanotypes back home !

Magda runs a superb printing botanicals class. She has a warm, welcoming personality and took care to explain the process. We all left with some lovely prints we made. Happy to recommend her to others. I'd love to try some of her other workshops too!

Magda hosted a fabulous session in her lovely new warm West London Studio. She immediately put us at ease, was passionate about her subject and gave us an incisive potted history before we embarked on producing our own prints. It was great fun and the three hours just flew by! We all made lovely prints and I am looking forward to framing mine. I would certainly recommend this course to anyone who enjoys making beautiful things!
