What you'll do

Craft handmade Christmas decorations to spruce up your seasonal style, using your macramé skills to put a unique twist on traditional ornaments! The project combines contemporary style with a classic craft and it’s the perfect way to learn macramé.
Using wire and cord, you’ll learn how to make either a candy cane decoration or a lolly decoration in festive red and white. Using a crown knot, you can create the striping effect of a candy cane as your decoration takes shape. You’ll also learn how to manipulate the knotted cord using wire and a glue gun to create your shape.
The Hobbycraft Artisan will take you through everything you need to know, breaking down simple techniques so you can put them into practice. Whether you’re familiar with the basics of macramé or you’re a total beginner, this is a great way to craft handmade Christmas decorations.
By the end of the workshop, you should have one decoration ready to hang on your tree! You’ll also have yarn left over to continue making more in your own time.
