I’m deeply passionate about sharing my love for pottery and encouraging people to be brave enough to begin their own creative journey. Clay has a way of meeting you exactly where you are — you don’t need experience, confidence, or a clear plan. You just need to show up, be curious, and be willing to try.
Before working with clay full-time, I trained in interior design, which deeply influences the way I approach my work. I’m always thinking about how objects live in a space and how they’re used day to day. Cooking is my other great passion, and together these influences shape my focus on functional pottery — pieces designed to be held, used, shared, and returned to again and again.
Pottery taught me to slow down, trust my hands, and let go of perfection. That mindset has shaped both my own practice and the way I teach. I’ve seen time and time again how powerful that first step can be — people arriving nervous or unsure, and leaving proud, muddy-handed, and surprised by what they’ve made. Pottery isn’t just about creating objects; it’s about building confidence, patience, and belief in yourself.
My workshops are small, intimate, and relaxed, creating a welcoming space where everyone feels supported. There’s plenty of one-to-one guidance, questions are encouraged, and learning happens through doing. This is a hands-on experience — expect to get your hands dirty, slow down, make mistakes, and properly immerse yourself in the process of making.
What I love most about teaching is watching people surprise themselves. Seeing someone centre clay for the first time, lift a pot off the wheel, or realise I made that never gets old. My hope is that everyone who comes into my studio leaves feeling inspired, proud, and a little braver than when they arrived — whether they continue with pottery or simply carry that confidence into other parts of their lives.
If my workshops help someone reconnect with their creativity, try something new, or take the first step on their own pottery journey, then I feel incredibly lucky to do what I do.
