In this workshop, you will learn the fundamental techniques of still life drawing. You will be guided step-by-step on how to observe and capture the essence of everyday objects. From mastering basic shapes to honing your shading skills, your friendly teacher, Gerald, will be on hand to help every step of the way.

The class will be conducted in a relaxed and supportive environment, allowing you to explore your creativity and have fun with drawing. Gerald understands that starting something new can be intimidating, especially if you're a beginner. Rest assured that he will create a safe space for you to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow as an artist.

Gerald Porter is an experienced artist having trained in South Wales and London at Hornsey College of Art. He has completed education qualifications at the University of Leicester and Exeter Institute of Education.

As an artist, he has held successful exhibitions at the Strand Gallery and Meniere Gallery London as well as being a frequent exhibitor locally in Northampton, Kettering, and Leicester.

He is a Fellow of the FPAA, awarded in 2019, and is a Demonstrator for Art Profile for which he gives talks and demonstrates his talent for watercolours.
