If you've been looking for more strings to add to your creative bow, this beginner's leatherworking workshop may be for you! Guided by an experienced local artisan, you'll create your own bespoke laptop sleeve from premium veg-tanned leather.

Hosted at Rosanna's studio in the beautiful Essex countryside, you'll learn the basics of leather crafting, from cutting the pattern to burnishing the edges before finally bringing everything together with a professional, hand-stitched finish. Even if this is your first time working with leather, your friendly craft expert will be on hand to answer any questions, dispense helpful hints, and keep the tea and coffee coming!

With a variety of naturally dyed leathers to choose from, along with a custom pattern to fit your laptop's needs, you'll come away with a truly unique, personalised accessory to stand the test of time. I am a professional leatherworker with years of experience under my (handmade) belt! With a former life as a Design & Technology teacher, and a Masters degree in Textiles from UAL, I pursued my love of leather to develop a range of courses to pass on my knowledge and experience to others. Within just two years of setting up my business, I was commissioned to write the now very popular leathercraft book Sew Luxe Leather, published in 2018.

Part of my ethos is sustainability, reducing waste by utilising leather in every form. I love designs that use up the smallest pieces of leather, such as earrings and coasters made from offcuts. My inventiveness with ‘waste’ has led to my taking part in the BBC TV programme ‘Money for Nothing’ where products destined for the tip are transformed by artisans like me.

I am passionate about being able to pass on my knowledge of leathercraft to others by running a series of fun workshops. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned leather crafter looking for your next project, I cater for both individuals with one-to-one tuition, and groups of up to six at my Essex studio. I can also cater to larger groups at other venues, which are ideal for team-building activities or away days.
