Let’s face it (excuse the pun), we all want to become better portrait artists. Faces are one of the most challenging subjects to tackle and one of the most satisfying to do. However, getting a portrait right can be tricky! Just a millimetre out on the eyes and your face can look like another human being altogether!

But that doesn’t make drawing portraits impossible. Far from it! With a good drawing method at hand, we can put ourselves in a great place to draw realistic faces. That’s where this online drawing class comes in! There are many ways to draw portraits and this class shows you one of them.

The method used in this class focuses on measuring the portrait and breaking it down into easy stages. Using a measuring stick, you'll work on a site sized drawing, learning to improve your measuring skills.

In advance of this online drawing class, your teacher will send you a little pack in the post with a few tools to make your drawing as dynamic as possible. During your workshop, everyone will be working from the same image and your tutor will take you through some step by step instructions to create your portrait.

This portrait drawing class is suitable for beginners and anyone looking to improve their portrait drawing skills. You can expect a very inclusive and supportive environment with plenty of guidance from your experienced tutor.

You'll finish up this online class with your portrait drawing work and a wealth of new knowledge for drawing portraits independently.

I have always had an overwhelming love of drawing and anything creative and since the age of 3, when I drew my first almond shape and realised that looked like an eye, I knew this path was the road I wanted to take. Having been self taught for the majority of my career, I was missing the final pieces of the puzzle to full understand and reach a level of realism that I was looking for. After studying and Wimbledon College Of Art and training with some of the finest teachers on this planet, I finally had my missing pieces and I learnt how to see clearer, how to translate what was in front of me to the paper, and how to show other people how to do the same.
I have been sharing this skill for around 5 years now and teaching all kinds of ages. I have met many abilities and faced different obstacles as each persons journey is so unique. Finally I decided that this practice should be shared to everyone and drawing is not only therapeutic but fun! It can be a great source of relief and build amazing memories so I started hosting classes for businesses and creating team building experiences that people will never forget.
