What you'll do
Whether you're writing for a bar, restaurant, wedding or you just want to learn a fun new skill at home, this calligraphy virtual experience is for you. Over the course of five online classes, you will learn how to create eye-catching and impressive lettering art for chalkboards.
Guided by a talented teacher, you will cover loads of useful calligraphy skills. Discover how to adapt lettering to create designs, learn how to add decorative elements, and pick up so many tips and tricks.
In this five-week online calligraphy course, you will:
- Understand the structure of lettering.
- Learn to combine different sizes and styles together, - Create attractive and cohesive designs.
- Be able to add shadow, volume, colour, flourishes, banners and illustrations.
- Experiment with different font styles.
- Learn how to scale up any design to include table plan layouts and menus.
You will also get a useful calligraphy kit in time for the first class in this course. It is full of useful tools and worksheets that will help you master calligraphy techniques. There is also a no kit option which only provides worksheets, you are welcome to bring your own favourite tools.
A striking chalkboard is a great way to get yourself heard, and when it looks amazing too, you could have a bigger reach than you might think. This course will transform any beginner learning how to write in calligraphy for the first time into a confident and inspired artist.
By the end of your final letting class, you will be able to apply everything you have learned to an amazing DIY project with loads of help from your teacher throughout.
